Hey Folks! I've been experimenting with a couple variants of my mobile Orks, and finally decided that I didn't like Ghazghkull and nobs in the battlewagon. This list has proven to be very competitive for me, and it won me the quarterly RTT in my FLGS.
HQ1: Ghazghkull Thraka
HQ2: Mad Dok Grotsnik
Troop1: 10 Nobs in a Trukk (Red Paint/Boarding Plank)
1. Painboy
2. Bosspole
3. Waaugh! Banner
4. Powerklaw
5. Powerklaw / Ammo Runt
6. Skorcha
7. Big Choppa
8. Big Choppa / Ammo Runt
9. Big Choppa / Kombi-Rokkit / Ammo Runt
10. Normal Nob
'Eavy Armor on all. (Ghazghkull Thraka is attached to this unit)
Troop2: 19 'Ard Boyz, Nob, Powerklaw, Bosspole (Mad Dok Grotsnik is attached to this unit, and they are inside the battlewagon)
Troop 3: 12 Trukk Boyz, Nob, Powerklaw, Bosspole, Trukk, Red Paint, Boarding Plank
Troop 4: 12 Trukk Boyz, Nob, Powerklaw, Bosspole, Trukk, Red Paint, Boarding Plank
Troop 5: 12 Trukk Boyz, Nob, Trukk, Red Paint
Elite 1: Snikrot+14 Kommandos (2 Burnas)
Heavy 1: Battlewagon (Red Paint, Kannon, Big Shoota, Boarding Plank)

THat's 1850 points. A few changes from what I normally do: I'm no longer taking a Deff Rolla because there's no consensus on it and whether it works against vehicles. Also, my 5th troops choice Nob doesn't have enough points for a Powerklaw, so I removed the Boarding Plank and stuck those 5 points into a second weapon for the Battlewagon (Big Shoota)
In every game I play, when I'm able to place terrain, I go with a lot of forest (dense) so that my vehicles will get cover saves, and when I don't control terrain, I use buildings, whatever, other vehicles to screen. IE, my Battlewagon will screen Ghazghkull's trukk for example. Given the way the points break down, I'm somewhat tempted to take those 12 boyz out of my 5th troop choice, take the trukk out, and substitute in as many boys(or perhaps gretchin) as I can to provide screening for the trukks. I know that boyz are at least 1/2 as tall as a trukk, I don't know about gretchin.
My army has a general 27" assault range, and I am virtually always in assault turn 2. If I'm playing against an assault heavy army (I played against assault Nidzilla last game of my RTT) I tend to either hang back and let them advance so I can surprise them with my assault range, or I'll split off Ghazghkull and go deal with them in my Waaugh!
Boarding planks deal with vehicles if I'm still mobile, and they're great for killing drop pods that deliver dreadnoughts behind my lines. Thoughts?
