Well I have bitten the bullet and decided to sell my rare lil Ork that I put a post up about here:

Obviously this model is very rare and so I am looking for sensible offers.

Oh and bare with me as I try and log on when I can but it can be difficlt for me to get on regularly.

You're right - it *is* a rare edition, but that doesn't make it a *good* model. =p

They've come out with a better looking and better scaled model since - I've got one of them in my Battlewagon.

I don't know if what you think other people are trying to sell them for is sensible or not, so you make wish to make some sort of clarifications as to what you think is sensible. You mentioned 150 quid or so...I have my own opinions of course, but you may wish to dictate your "sensible."

First off 'good' is a matter of opinion ;-) I do love this model though.

I haven't mentioned any figure, that has all be done by other people and I wouldn't expect £150 and realistically wouldn't expect it to make more than £100 but for me to part with it I will have to receive a sum that is substancial enough. I have friends who could paint this for me and then I would happily have it on a stand on display.

Looks like it's been painted and poorly stripped to me, this would drastically reduce what it's worth IMO

I was halfway through the process of stripping it when I grew impatient and grabbed a camera, I have done a more thorough job on it and it's not like stripping a model is real hard work in any case.

I was trying to be very careful in what I wrote to not sound like I was ridiculing you. I did see you in the other thread chatting about 100-150 quid on e-bay that people were trying to sell them for. Remember that just because someone is trying to sell something for an amount doesn't make it worth that amount. There's a difference between having something up for sale and selling it.

Best of luck with this figure though, and take my posts as free bumps.

I didn't take it as any form of ridicule and I know fully that value and price are 2 very different things. I will probably value this model at a greater price than I get for it but that is just the way these things work. Ideally I wouldn't be getting rid of it but hey

You can always set ebay auction, and link the sales into Dakka*2

This way we can bid on it, and you get to sell it for what its worth.

Basic thing to remember is, good prices = you wont see it often, because they'll
either be bought out right away, or they'll be bid over etc etc.

The high prices that you see week after week after week, thats the insane prices that no
one ever bother bidding. So high existing ebay prices doesnt really hold any ground in pricing the item D:
