Hopefully you don't play against an army that moves over 6". Just kidding, kind of.

...No but seriously, a fast army could run circles around this thing, while a more ponderous, well-rounded list would probably get it's anal cherry popped.

you really do need some icons becuase your deep-striking some really large based models and you ideally want to get as close as possible.

As for being out-manouvered.. you will be able to fill up a good chunk of the board quickly with 3 squads of 8-10 crushers coming in 1st turn. They will get shot at and not care too much. Sit them near objectives near where the plaguebearers will land and let them come to you.

Most armies simply will not be able to stop this. Good list.

Err am I missing something? I may be new to Daemons but where's your anti-tank? If your skulltaker dies you have nothing that can even glance above 12 AV and the 12 is only on a charge. A single ironclad could whipe this entire list out by itself..

Wouldn't it be wise to go with 2 bloodthirsters if you want khorne HQs? Or hell if not, 2 GUOs and 2 DPs? Some horrors perhaps? I must be missing something..

As said, zero mobility.
20 troops, with T4 5++ will just die too quickly.

unless you are facing a footslogging horde, you have no way to win. (considering the opponent is not completely dumb)

You don't need so many crushers at 1850 drop about half of them, and add horrors/grinders/anything that can catch up a transport vehicle.

Your HQ cost more than 500 pts; you could have 2 thirsters for that cost; which would give you mobility and anti-tank. Moreover, even if you keep only 3*5 crushers; it's already overkill in most cases, your heralds will just be useless.

ps: on a side note, what happends if your 3 crusher squads are charged by 3 dreadnoughts ?
350 pts of dreadnoughts that can handle 1500 pts of your army during the whole game. (you do not even have rending)

Modified list (roughly)

2 thirsters with U.might : 540
3*5 crushers with rending: 630
2*5 plaguebearers: 150 (objective holders)
10 plaguebearers with icon :175
2*5 horrors with bolt: 190

remaining 165 pts, you can either add:
1 daemon prince (MoT + bolt might be good).
add some more crushers if you love them.
add some fast moving stuff; hounds, seekers.
Add a large squad of bloodletters in order to protect the background (they're more scary than plaguebearers), or horrors, or a second big squad of plaguebearers.

You keep 15 crushers
You have flying monsters
You have troops for objectives, and things that can catch up/shoot land speeders/wave serpents, kill dreadnoughts and land raiders.

It's a bit overkill, but it's definitely worth a spit-take or two. Anti-tank isn't as much of a problem as anti-LR is.

You always hit rear armor when you assault vehicles. He's screwed against Dreadnoughts and Land Raiders, generally.

Still, its an absolutely hilarious list.

The only thing that would walk over this list would be drednoughts. You simply couldnt deal with more than a few.

The only armor units they can't glance are Land raiders and monoliths... Two models best left alone in any event. edit: you always count as charging against vehicles!!!

T5, 3+/5++ and eternal warrior = cannot be insta=killed... and pile in allows the player to swing around to the back of the dread with a few models. The dreadnoughts will die, krushas may lose a model or two.

I'm not trying to argue that this list is unbeatable and I agree that any mobile army will pwn it w/o amazing DS luck! But if you are going to knock it get the facts straight please as this forum is supposed to be semi-educational.

Trade 2 heralds for 1 thirster for your anti tank.

its funny your making a list for him and you didnt have a clue what blood crushers were.

OT: I'd taoke out skull taker, he's not really that useful aside from MC killing. your better off putting a normal herald and just upgrading 1 guy in each squad with rending for wound allocation and in case a dreadnought slams you.

"20 troops, with T4 5++ will just die too quickly. "
-> confused the PB for bloodletters. My bad; they won't die that easily.

as for crushers; I play with 12 at 2000, they're more than enough.

"and pile in allows the player to swing around to the back of the dread with a few models. The dreadnoughts will die, krushas may lose a model or two."

-> Vs walkers, you take the front value. Crushers without charge or rending can't kill a dread.

Crushers without rending cant touch an ironclad drednought. I wanna field 4 (with 2 more normal dreds). It was devised with the same kind of mentaility, Kudos.

First off dreadnoughts ALWAYS face to front in assault, even if completely surrounded, and this army has no shooting capability whatsoever to hit it's back armor. They also count as infantry and therefore are not always counted as being charged.. Ironclads have 13 front armor, so like I said a single ironclad could take this entire army out granted it kills the skulltaker first.

Also I'm pretty sure Arleucs was stating that the troops would die too easily, not the bloodcrushers, considering he did say the word troops.. Ya know, the only scoring units?

the least kungfu can do is add a rending guy to his crushers.

KK, I didn't know you could make these turkeys rend... I have only skimmed through codex: CD as I don't play CD. This is a for lulz list that was written by my bro and me. How many points does tit cost to add rending? This list, while intrinsically flawed, is 50% joke... although it will see the table shortly in some form. The list posted earlier was pretty cool, but not what we are trying to accomplish. IC dreadnaughts have 13 armor? cool. Sorry about that, thought you were being a moron, my fault.

any horde army could also give you fits simply by denying you table space to land in since if you land within 1" of enemy models you roll on the DS mishap table which has a 1/3 chance of you giving all of the points of one of those BC units and accomponing herald to your opponent without them ever firing a shot

Mech eldar, tau, or dark eldar would run circles around this. Might want to make some room for some tongue soul grinders.
