But I don't think I can justify buying into a game no one else in my area plays.

Even though $200 would buy me a huge UNA force ... damn that is tempting!

Maybe I could just buy a *little* army.

I bought in miniature market and I got a huge force 200$ wihtout delivery to Europe and was a great RB army, very type *** infantry and AFV heavy

What you do is buy 2 armies and start teaching people the game and pointing them towards the good sales. It's how myself(a Sentinel) and a former Press Ganger(now works for Privateer Press) started an AT-43 group. If two people are playing the game in a store, people will probably come watch and get interested.

I really thinking of getting a pack of Spetsnatz Kolossus and using them as either Deff Dreads, Killa Kans, or Dreadnoughts. Anyone know how close to size they are to those by chance?

I think I'll grab 2 dirt cheap Op: Damocles boxes and then rules. That shouldn't cost too much, and that's a lot of models for that amount of money.

If you do that, make sure to drop by Miniature Market and grab 2 extra Storm Golems with Sonic guns as the squads in the Op: Damocles box aren't legal(it's 8 Storms with 2 Sonics, legal max is 9 with 3 specials).

Not really necessary. Use the leaders provided as Officers(or pop by Miniature Market[I only keep mentioning them because I've ordered twice this past week and got everything in 2 days] and grab a couple Steel Trooper Master Sergeant LEs), paint a couple shoulder pads differently for Medics/Engineers, and pick up a couple Wing Trooper Attachments and clip off the smoke and packs if you want Laser Guns.
