Compared to all the boring space marines? Absolutely. I can't wait to get one for my IG, especially if that's the titan D-weapon that it looks like.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I want to see a Primarch, will they reveal one at this shindig do we think?

FW has said they'd reveal which Primarch is next - not sure if this means the actual model, or just who it will be, but we'll find out on Sunday!

It's an awesome looking fortification, plus a Turbolaser carapace mount for the Reaver/Warlord titan that far exceeds expectations. And they put them together in one kit. I will be buying one when it comes out, so my Reaver can swap top guns with the fort.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Out of interest, have FW banned people recording during the seminars, or are the folk who've gone the last couple of years just not been bothered? The stuff that tends to show up on YT these days are just people's photos, which we already get to see anyway.

I've only occasionally seen a video of the weekenders from years past. I think they're probably against videos but fairly lenient with pictures.

They have been stating before each seminar that photos are OK but videos are not as it devalues the price paid for a ticket by the people who went.

The new stormbird is a very early wip according to Tony, so I'd expect a few changes. I've an outstanding question on how it's going to work with the existing flight stands.

Keith Robertson (the very same Keith Robertson who sculpted the model) posted these better quality photos of Dynat to a Facebook group. The scale details are just incredible.

I may have my first character series purchase; that's a beautiful model. Fantastic detail and a really characterful pose.

Never got that kind of reasoning frankly, you(plural, nonspecific) pay the ticket price because attending the event and having the experience yourself is important to you, if you're petty enough that other people knowing the information presented at the event "devalues" that for you then whether other people find out via pics and a write-up or via a video isn't going to make any actual difference.

Inboud...

That Stormbird looks fantastic for a WIP.

It could do with either a third set of wings at a 45 degree angle, or to move the existing 90 degree ones to this position. More in line with the Stormeagle.

Would make a badass Guncutter conversion.

I just hope they sell the cannon mount separately, as I would buy one for the top of my Reaver in a heartbeat.

I'm not really impressed by the Reaver Volcano Cannon or chainfist, but that "battleship"-style turret would look amazing in place of the missile launcher...

I agree with you, the fact that pretty much everything leaks anyway. They should film and put up the videos on the Monday themselves, would help drive interest abs sales

It's hard to tell but that Alpha guy looks like he'll be bigger than your average marine. Certainly his power plant looks different.

Might just be me though.

It's possible, though I think the base size is making his size deceptive. Keith said he's based on a 32mm; presumably with a 60mm display base like the other SM Characters.

Okay, after way too much thinking I'm certain that this guy is a Strategos.

The scopes and gak make sense as he has a special rule that allows him to call in a precision strike once per game. Plus the fluff blurb says that the guy is tasked with issuing tactical orders, coordinating orbital support and whatnot.

GW/FW are making airbrush paints apparantly. The colours are approved, no names yet.

That's interesting. I wonder if that means they'll make the move to dropper bottles instead of the horrible paint pots they use now.

I might be very keen for that, I've had no trouble airbrushing GW paint in the past but they do require alot of thinner compared to other brands. Interested to hear more about that

Gawd, I hope so...

but then again, because of GW's paint pots, I went to Vallejo paints, and have never looked back........

GW probably got wind of FW using Tamiya paints in their color schemes and told them to make some Airbrush paints or GTFO.

Probably haha. I liked that FW were always honest though, if you emailed them for a recipe they'd tell you what paints they used, even if they were other brands. They used a lot of Tamiya like you say and Vallejo too. But then they use an airbrush on like everything.

I have heard that the iconic goblin green bases were actually a Tamiya green. Dunno if that's true or not.

It's the kind of thing that I do hope is actually true.

FW mostly uses other paints for their airbrushing because GW's paints have an awful lot of pigment in them.

Yeah GW arn't the greatest airbrushing paint, especially when compared to Tamiya and Hobby Colour which airbrush on beautifully
