The should trim the sprue connection bits off that flat piece.

Nifty, but pricey.

Only downside to the new monthly White Dwarf is under the old weekly system, we'd already know what was going up for pre-order next Saturday (the 15th). Any rumors right now? Heresy game?

Just collecting Genestealer Cult is expensive. But when you want something, the worth is what is important, not the price.

Yeah, they are. It appears that the DW:OK will be the only way to get the models for now.

Possibly why the base unit size is 4 strong. They may not be planning an individual box in the near future.

Could probably splice some Ogryn/Bullgryn kits with Tyranid Warriors to get Abberants.

Really digging that towable trailer conversion. I'd love to see someone doing resin stuff make a cheaper version that would fit

On that note, can anyone recommend a place where I can get big beefy wheels for an IG Taurox truck (we can use them as allies, right?)? Thought I might want to mix one of those in too, but I hate the tank treads it comes with... remember seeing resin wheel kits before somewhere...

Also thought about going with the APC from Dreamforge games, but that's more expensive.

Everything else was fine.
Called them up but due to stock, they think I'll get them in 2-3 weeks.
Slightly pissed off.
I heard a lot of online retailers were having stock issues because of the way GW was doing allocation. Both the close-by FLGS had plenty.

Ogryns are way bigger than Aberrants.

That's the same Space Marine in both pictures. I just swapped his head at some point.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Really interested in this, but leery of buying it because I don't think I really want to get into the miniatures game. Is it really worth getting it if all I'm interested in is the fluff and art?

Long ago, a friend of mine left his Space Hulk, Deathwing, and Genestealer sets with me. At the time, I wasn't interested in Space Hulk at all. However, the fluff sucked me in. I especially liked the fiction bits in Deathwing. They really sucked me in, and made me a fan of the concept of Space Marines against Genestealers (and Tyranids by extension).

The price may be a little steep for just fluff and artwork, though the artwork of the codex is absolutely beautiful. There is also a lot of really good fluff to read through. The question is, do you want to pay $50 for it? It was worth that to me, but you may want to wait for the soft cover version. Your choice, really.

Victoria Miniatures does a good resin conversion kit http://victoriaminiatures.highwire.com/product/apc-wheel-and-suspension-kit

as does Zinge Industries http://zinge.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=704 (they also do a variety of wheels if you want to convert your own suspension)

I've also seen this one from M-a-M which is a 6 wheel version http://www.modelsandminis.com/6x6_wheel_conversion_kit_compatible_with_GW_taurox/p2965327_14032046.aspx which is a bit cheaper but I think suffers from using too much of the GW suspension components

I think Bloodreavers might be a good base for Aberrant conversions, they have similar proportions and bare chests with raggedy legs and two handed weapon poses. Theyre also quite cheap for what you're getting. https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Khorne-Bloodreavers

After looking at these new Cult models, I am impressed by the fact that the Genestealers are an equal opportunities cult.

You have white cultists, you have African-American cultists. I've yet to see that with the Chaos Cults!

Aberrants could be made from Ogryns - no matter how big the Ogryn - because Ogryns would get infected too, and mining settlements often have Ogryns around for heavy labour.

Oh good idea. Would give me a good reason to buy something different from Tyrnaid looking all the time. I liked the mini but never played IG/AM. Now I can get minis I wanted from other armies now and do some converting.

Now how to convert some of my Tau Fire Warriors into the Cult.

There hasn't been one, but Start Collecting kits tend to be a decent amount of time after the initial release.

Easily done I suppose. Though I'm sure there will be some "whites only club" cultist types in 40k as well.

GSC Start Collecting! box guess: Sentinel or Goliath truck with some neophytes, 5 acolytes, and Magos w/familiars or a Primus on his own.

Usually they contain a troop choice a leader and something with a bit of flavour. They usually would cost £80+ RRP but are priced around £50, with this in mind I would say some neophytes a Goliath and the primus and magus models which would theoretically add up to around £85. Personally I would like to see neophytes, abberants a Goliath and a primus, this should come in around the same in theory.

What's the proper term for people who call Nocturne their homeworld ?

Wait, wait, I believe the new SJW approved term is "melanated". Which ironically applies to everyone other than Albinos.

Albinos, who would probably been executed as mutants in the 40K universe.

Hyper-Melanted ?

I would be very suprised if we didn't see the aberants shoe up very soon. I would have thought after the problems with Deffkoptas that GW would not keep models exclusive to limited run boxes.

Won't get a Magos or Primus on their own, as they share a sprue. You'd only get them all, or none. Unless they bring out different models of them before the start collecting box but if they were gonna do that I think they would have with the release.
