Here are my Orks that I've slowly been painting up. Not even got 1000pts of models at the moment, but some progress is better than no progress.

Wow, I really like your painting style. It's almost cartoony (in a good way) but also very clean. The skin on them is quite good too... it doesnt look too outrageous but it also fits with the rest of your style.

Also you did your bases similar to how I have been doing mine (check out my gallery), which gives you bonus points

PS. I am the anti you. Hah!

Very nice. I especially like the Burna with the mask and the Runtherd. On some of the weapons, I think there is a bit too much blue, but it's a minor issue and can appreciate having to paint 100 or so models at the same standard.

It gives me a couple of ideas for my own Orks that I've been posting recently. Thanks and look forward to seeing more.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Excellent work! Very impressive. But why all the blue basing?

Just because anyone agrees with anyone, doesn't mean they are correct. Beware the thin line between what is "Correct" and what is "Popular."

Those are some really sharp models, and I like how you've done up your blue. The bright blue is a REALLY nice contrast against the earthy Ork skin.

I love these they look fantastic. The only thing i'm not sure about is the grass on the grey base as it looks a little out of place. I think i would have used the mottled brown staic grass rather than the green. Could you divulge the stages you paint the green blue and white on your models?

Nice work, your blue just jumps out making a nice contrast, and as for the basing,I like it,It's not uncommon to see grass strugling to grow in desolate areas, and I think your bases capture that look very well.

Love your style, like others have said the anime style of your highlight is sharp crisp, eye catchingly cool!

It is an oath we honour. The more I peruse threads like these, the more I realize that it's proper highlighting that makes an otherwise good model into an outstanding model.

That said, these are outstanding. If I ritualistically eat your brain will I gain your powers of awesome?

I've done a lot of models based on grey, brown and desert bases, so wanted something a little different. It is actually Shadow Grey drybrushed Space Wolves Grey, then White, but I do like the way it ended up.

Green:
Started off with a mix of my own paint which is basically Catachan Green that's lightened with some Goblin Green, yellow and white.
Then Devlan Mud followed by the Catachan Green, then 2 highlights by adding more Kommando Khaki.

Blue:
Enchanted Blue
Devlan Mud
Enchanted Blue
Enchanted Blue with white
Ice blue sparsely

White:
White
Devlan Mud
1:1 Kommando Khaki:Skull White
Shull White around the edges

I was planning to use him as a wound marker on Snikrot, or my Warboss. The text has been repainted to no longer say Woona

I think that is how it works. A similar thing seems to work in Heroes, so why not in real life?

Thanks Citizen, its a nice scheme. I couldn't cope with ice blue as my highlight so i went with 50/50 enchanted blue and space wolves grey.
