K, so the images worked. It has both of the guns in the pictures as a plasma blastgun and turbo-laser destructor. Luckily, one of the guns looks exactly like an imperium plasma gun. It's close to the same size as a warhound and only cost m3 $70.

What do you think?

It seems like a decent enough idea, its low cost in comparison, quick to build, and should be fairly easy to mod/custom out.

I'd say 8/10

An Imperial Titan?

1/10.

Sorry, I think it's a very nice looking model, but I wouldn't be happy to see it across from me in a mega battle. Mega-battles and Apocalypse matches are as much about the spectacle as the actual game play, and this model doesn't look the least bit "Imperial." With some moderate conversion work it would make a good Tau Titan, but it's going to stick out like a sore thumb standing amongst the other Imperial Titans that show up.

That said, there are a lot of nice third party kits out there that do look Imperial, so don't feel like you're stuck buying a Forge World Warhound.

maybe if you make it less of a sleek design. and make it to the brunt and blunt look of 40k it would help. but as it is. maybe a 5/10 because of its anime-ish theme which i personally dont like in general.

Its too anime like to be anything but Tau titan.

Even Tau doesnt look as smooth and streamlined as that.

Can it be done? yes i have seen conversions off gundam.

Try a more 'lumpen' model such as Gundam Virtue, and add a bunch of rivets.

As a skeleton to put lots of stuff on yes. As it is no.
It's easier with chaos - depending on the god just add slime/ spikes/ mutations/ spikes and skulls/ more mutations

For imperium...
rivets
skulls
wings
eagles
purity seals
cloth
chains
titan legion iconography (look them up)
wires
armor plates

but still you would have to alter the silhouette as well - how big is your bits box?

First of all, it's supposed to be a CHAOS warhound. It's supposed to be mutated, and I don't own any other titans but am planning on getting the stompa. Second, I picked this one mainly for the plasma gun lookalike. The store I bought it from had very few kits this size that had more than one gun.

Doesn't look very Imperial... And, yes, most Chaos stuff at least starts as Imperial-ish.

i have to 5/10, just for the simple fact that its about height and with some work i could see it being a cultist titan, but it doesn't say warhound to me at least, when i first saw the thing i thought of the Eldar Titans, light, fast and smooth lines, hmm maybe i should buy to add to my own army...

I'd have to rate it pretty low, unless you plan on using the armature or joints to allow it to be poseable or change out the weapon configuration. Mind you, slap on enough gubbins & you may have the makings of a Knight...

Adeptus Mechanicus & Imperial tech is all about clunky boiler plate and archaic technology.

Sleek & lithe is for the Eldar & Tau. The Imperium of Man goes for archaic gothic steam punk goodness.

1/10. 0/10 if it's Tau because Tau don't have titans.

Try large Battletech kits as starting points for titans.

1/10 from me as well - Even if the size is right the look is completely wrong. It rates just as high as using a 1' tall stuffed animal as a titan. Most people I know play apocalypse to have cool looking battles, and wouldn't be too happy, including myself - having an out of place toy shooting at me. Perhaps if you green stuffed the hell out of it to make it look rotten and infected - but as is it doesn't fit in the 40k universe.

That's the thing I forgot. The store sells bases for it. And i don't think this store sells the 'battletech' kits you mentioned. They sell Code Geass, though.

I like the idea of using gundams for Titans, but it would really only work with Tau or Eldar. But I have to agree with posts above, even that is too sleek for Tau, perhaps find a more rough version if you were going for Tau, but never for Imperial.

just seems to clean and smooth for a titan, imperials like thier lego block titans

and for tau:

1: they dont have titans
2: they have a more square shape to them
3: if your making a tau titan anyway, then take the battle suit concept, supersize it and add more stuff.

No. As an Eldar or Tau titan, it could work with a lot of converting.

However, for the imperium? Just no.

If you had to use a Gundam model, I would recommend a Tieren or Anf from Gundam 00, or something from Kotobukiya's Armored Core Variable Infinity Line. Of course, you'd still have to kit them out to fit the main idea of the Imperium's titans, being just as much things to worship as they are to be used as weapons war.

And I agree with Cyporiean, use Perfect or Glorious Grade kits. The 1/100 kits are only about 6" tall.

The 1/100 are the biggest kits the store had, and there were no armored core or battletech. This was just a small store next to GW in a mall, like 20 square feet, and more space was used up for rei dolls than gundam kits. That was exaggeration, but there was only a small shelf of gundam/geass kits. This 1/100 kit is a bit bigger than 6", and with the base it will probably be the same size as the warhound. Besides, I think the sleek look fits the Agile special rule very well.

1/10.
Sorry but the look of that does not fit in 40k, not to mention no race has battlesuits similar to that except tau, who do not have any titans.

You under estimate the size of a Warhound.

FW says that the warhound is 10" tall, depending on how you pose the legs. This kit is about 8" tall. Not much of a difference.

I'm measuring one of my (8) 1/100 kits right now, and I'm getting 17cm. That's 6.8 inches.

Must depend on the kit, 'cause mine's almost as tall as the new stompa. Either way, I'm not buying another kit, or looking for a store that sells bigger kits. My gaming group would probably let me use this one, anyway.
