So why did you bother asking everyone's opinion if you were so dead set on using the thing in the first place? Seems pointless to me. And the last thing 40k needs is a giant kick-boxing japanese robot jumping around the battlefield. If you're gonna use it, so be it, but it looks nothing like an imperial titan.

This was just a small store next to GW in a mall, like 20 square feet, and more space was used up for rei dolls than gundam kits. That was exaggeration, but there was only a small shelf of gundam/geass kits. This 1/100 kit is a bit bigger than 6", and with the base it will probably be the same size as the warhound. Besides, I think the sleek look fits the Agile special rule very well.

I'm measuring one of my (8) 1/100 kits right now, and I'm getting 17cm. That's 6.8 inches.

Which makes sense given that the tallest standard mobile suits in Gundam are 18 Meters and the kit is 1/100 scale.

1/100 Gundam kits make better 'True Scale' Tau suit bases.

slap a 1/4" of green stuff all over it with snakes and boils and busted pustules and call it a Nurgle titan..

@Masioh

Get it assembled, and let us see how it looks size wise next to some 40k stuff!

For attention I guess. It's like when DT posts his boobmarines and goes "LOL I'm making them anyway!" and "Dance, puppets, dance! I don't care what you think getting you all riled up was my plan all along!" It's entertaining.

Well maybe he is looking for Dakka's approval / support , it is quite a daunting task. Why so harsh?

The mobile Suit OP wants to use, the Astrea, is 18.3m. If the scale is perfectly converted (I doubt it), then the model will be 7.32 inches. That's not too bad, but for a titan, I'd expect something bigger. Not to mention that it's too thin to be an imperial titan, and too small for a single tau to actually fit inside and be expected to properly pilot the thing. A perfect grade would be much more appropriate.

Honestly, I wouldn't use it. I love gunpla, I really do, but without extensive converting, it just won't work. Much more work then it's worth, unless you happen to be Migsula. Sure, it's cheaper then most 40k stuff for what you get, but it just doesn't fit right.

7.32 inches sounds accurate. As for scale I have nothing to take pics with, but an Ork boy is at the same level as the red circle on it's ankle.

I know how large gunpla kits are. That's too small for a titan. Just because it's as tall doesn't mean it comes close to representing the footprint of a titan. Unless your willing to spend as much time and/or money to get it to look right, you're better off just taking a piece of paper, and labelling it as a titan.
