Hey all,

Working on my 1000 pts for AdeptiCon Team Tournament and am down to 10 Deathguard and their Rhino.

Can't find a paint plan that uses GW foundation, paints, and washes. So far, the two I have really like use Reaper triads, and Privateer Press paints.

Here is one of the two I really want to learn how to do with GW paints:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/222864.page#448362

It uses this paint plan using Privateer Press paints:
Spray Gray (99% of the time you should!)
LIGHT basecoat of PP traitor green
Wash with 50 50 Devlan Mud and Sepia
Highlight several times with traitor green, with more and more flesh added as you go.
Metals are chainmail, use very light, very thin amounts of paint, and paint on all the rust a few layers per spot.
The rust is Reapers Harvest Brown triad.

Need help figuring out a solid paint plan to achieve this - prime black/white? which foundation to start with? how to build it up? What is the best mix to make that 'traitor green'?

Thanks!

- Blackbone

Well I Looked Around and found this.

Seems it includes instructions to prime black, and it looks pusilicious, so maybe it's the way to go. It does use two paints that aren't GW, but you could probably find a substitute or just buy those two.

Thanks very much. Good ideas there, especially for sculpting. I think I will try to apply some of that for upcoming obliterators.

The muddy green ish foundation paint and highlight up to rotting flesh... An examples is the green shoulder pad/knee plated etc on my DP:

I do mine in a bone scheme but not sure that's what you're looking for:

The 'orrible bases have been upgraded now (pics from a while ago) so they actually look a lot better

Yup - they were kinda an idea which really work. All of my bases are pre-cast resin now and are the same as my berserker bases:

Will get pics of finished ones wen I get a chance! One day I'll actually get all my painted stuff photo'd in one place
