I'm planning on picking up a devastator squad, and to get the best mileage out of it I'm wondering if I should combine the bits with a tactical squad and assemble all the heavy weapons, or just go with a las, 2 plasma and 2 HB? any ideas/recommendations for the optimal setup?

You get 2 Plasma Cannon, 2 Heavy Bolters, 2 lascannons, 1 missile launcher, and 1 multi melta.

Use the five guys included and get a combat squad. Model up all and then you will have options.

You really get 8 hvy weapon per 1 devastator box? o_o

Yup and when I got the battle company I happily found 8 heavy bolters 8 las cannons 8 plasma cannons 4 multi meltas and 4 rockets.really big smile. Not to mention the squad rockets.

Yah it's a pretty sweet box now, that's actually more than I thought there were. I just got it now and am about to open it up, thanks for the tips
