Hey all,

I'm having a tough time figuring out how exactly I want to paint the bases on my Warriors of Chaos army. I've used layers of cork for rocks and this awesome gel stuff that forms cracks when it dries giving a great dried mud look. But I cannot for the life of my figure out how to paint the stuff! I want it muddy, but not too light or early. I need something oddly wrong about it, as the Chaos Wastes should be. No glowing red in the cracks or anything like that, just something to make someone have to double take when looking... I know I'm being vague, but maybe someone out there can help

Paint it brown highlight like you would normally then get some purple wood stain and go over it with that and highlight again

Would you happen to have a picture of how that turns out?
