erm, this should be in 40k right?
WBB just gets annoying after a while as small arms fire does pretty much nothing, hence why i like bloodletters now

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor. |

this is a silly question to be honest, because neither one is better. If one was better then the other would have stopped being updated. It all depends on what you think is better and what rules and models you prefer.

Since this is a fantasy forum, I'll say fantasy and.... that's not a rules question, but it could be posted in a poll on the dakka discussions area if bladedragon03 was really interested.

Well that comes down to personal preferance, whether you enjoy sci-fi or fantasy storylines. However in terms of gameplay its fair to say that fantasy is more complex yet more fullfilling.

If you like magic fantasy is better, if you like tanks 40K is better.
Actually most people tend to play both and like one more than the other.
I like flames of war best because you can measure everything ahead of time and split fire from the same unit.
Here are a few points to consider
With fantasy units in ranks moving around and facing are very important. The loose units in 40K and 360 fire remove this requirement.
Placement with champion and characters tend to be more important in fantasy than the 40K piling in.
With magic offensive and defensive powers the magic phase in fantasy makes that phase more complex. In 40k all you have is artillery or direct fire boom weapons. You have some defensive capacity phy and running into cover.
Both systems have some very colorful characters, generals and mages.
Both systems have the big units, dragons vice tanks
It is a personnel preference. My daughter likes magic therefore fantasy rules for her.

Try both out and figure out which one you like more. I play 40k because that's what I got into first and I paint way too slowly to start up another game. However, I've played some fantasy using proxy models and I do like it quite a bit (possibly more than 40k) due to the stratagy of moving blocks of units and the fact that doing damage to your opponent isn't the only way to win. I find there is more thinking in fantasy where as 40k is more straight forward.
