Ok I found out yesterday that our first child will be a masculine one. In one of his ultrasound pictures he is holding both fists up (perfect for St. Patty's day). So the reason for this thread is that I need to figure out what 40k/Fantasy army I need to start him with. Granted this won't be for another five years so we need to be a little forward thinking regarding new editions, armies, etc... We got another skeletal ultrasound shot that makes him look rather sinister. Will post pics soon.

Give him something simple. Something without a lot of detailed pieces to paint (assuming you let him paint) like space marines, which is an easy army to start off with. Second, don't let him bring the books to school... Until 6th grade.

Yeah I have a feeling that he will have nothing to do with the hobby. He'll probably want to do more constructive stuff like learning how to read and go fishing with Grandpa. Oh well I'll do my best to turn him into a geek.

Space marines would be nice though.

Congrats! I support DE too. I find that what you experience with a newborn--anxiety, the end of all sleep, projectile vomiting and explosive bowels--is a close approximation to some of the worst things DE inflict on their captives.
