With plastic Empire archers coming I fear the end is nigh!

They're my favorite plastic kit.

Nah. Nothing else to use as Miltia, and they are a pretty popular unit.

We might see new ones coming in the future, but retiring them before a replacement makes no sense. Unless the Archers can be built as Miltia?

I doubt that archers are to be used as militia, they look too uniform for that.

Besides, the militia kit never had enough parts for a full detachment / regiment of archers or crossbow men anyway.

I hope they do, honestly. The Militia kit is repackaged Mordheim models that are good for conversions and little else-- they simply aren't suited towards ranking up at all.

But they are great for IG conversions!

Mine rank up just fine. Of course, I kept ranking in mind as I built them so...

Yeah, they rank pretty well if you put them on regimental bases. of course, I just built a few detachments of 8 men a piece.

I certainly hope not; the figs are great for Mordheim and other skirmish fantasy games, as well as conversion fodder. And they rank up fine, I'm sure.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Yeah, I hope they're not going OOP. It's one of those kits I've been meaning to pick up for a long time, but haven't got around to it yet...hopefully they're not going anywhere!

I doubt they'd discontinue them without a shiny new Empire Militia boxed set with extra (x2) puffy pants.

They're good for Mordheim! I hope they don't discontinue them. I love all of those weapons options.
