Recently I have been playing with another list but I thought I would put this list up for scrutiny... The main idea was to avoid flamer attacks and other Anti-Ork units and kill them with a wall of lead that pours through my gunz... I took the maximum amount of Troops instead of Elites to Rob my opponent of kill points and when it is a capture scenario... The shoota units double as tar pits that run after being assaulted so I can claim the counter assault next turn. I have a lot of luck with the Kannons as they are rokkit shots and hit units 50% of the time with small templates. 1500 point army Hq: 240 (120) Warboss ⁃ Attack Squig ⁃ Shoota ⁃ Power Klaw ⁃ Cybork body ⁃ 'Eavy Armor (120) Warboss ⁃ Attack Squig ⁃ Shoota ⁃ Power Klaw ⁃ Cybork body ⁃ 'Eavy Armor ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Troop: 1080 (300) 10 Nobz ⁃ 1 Pain Boy w/ Urty Syringe ⁃ 9 Slugga And Choppa ⁃ 10 Cybork Armor ⁃ 1 Waaagh Banner ⁃ 1 Bosspole (300) 10 Nobz ⁃ 1 Pain Boy w/ Urty Syringe ⁃ 9 Slugga And Choppa ⁃ 10 Cybork Armor ⁃ 1 Waaagh Banner ⁃ 1 Bosspole (120) 20 Ork boyz 20 Shootas (120) 20 Ork boyz 20 Shootas (120) 20 Ork boyz 20 Shootas (120) 20 Ork Boyz 20 Shootas ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Heavy Support: 180 (60) 3 Big gunz Kannon (60) 3 Big gunz Kannon (60) 3 Big gunz Kannon I know there is a Nob unit. I know that it has no PK, this is merely a resilient unit that I actually have the models for and can deliver a WarBoss and destroy a rear armor 10-11 tank in an assault.

Honestly, buy some plasticard and make power klaws, or use sprue, weapons bits, and greenstuff. It isn't hard at all.
I am not a fan of the kannons - 1 template and they are done. Points wise, you would be better off dropping the kannons and a squad of shootas to kit the nobs out and put a pk nob in every shoota mob. Make sure every nob is kitted differently for wound allocation.
With those changes you can sit a squad of shootas on your home objective and run 2 units of nob squad/shoota squad at them. Screen with your shootas - as long as the nob mob with the warboss makes it there you should be golden.

Hmm... so no kannons... well you are right on the fact that one template or deep-strike marine will kill 1 squad a turn... I just wanted to run something that was not looters and would kill MEQS, prevent FNP and glance tanks and prevent them from firing. I worked out the math hammer and decided that roughly 50% of the times the template will land where I want (1/3 of the time it is a hit! and 1/6 of the total is 4 or less thus not truly affecting the numbers hit...) Originally I wanted Lobbas so I can strike regardless of LOS and force amour saves and perhaps force things like Tau and IG to be Pinned.
With the Looters, they create a large profile to destroy first ask questions later however Ork Kannons go under the radar and will earn their pints back pretty fast.. (usually to the tune of a skimmer or bike squad being shot 9 times and hit 4-5 times.)
Normally I would go with Deffkoptas with twin Rokkits because they can shake tanks and destroy them in CC. but the main deterrent is the fact that they are 45 points each...
As for dropping a Warboss and picking up a KFF... I would but then my NOB squad would become a Elite Choice and No longer a Troop Choice. Thus giving my opponent an extra Kill point and stopping another unit from claim objectives or table quarters. (but not from contesting)
I mainly wanted to stick within the realm of the AOBR box set models so if I should drop models I would like to know if I could convert the models... Such as painting Nobz black and giving them camouflage instead of painting the greenskin...
