Lol, ya, but it is also perhaps more 'evidence' than RF offered that Dakka had anything, anything at all to do with the completely uncorroborated call /threat.

That is of course on the false premise that Dakka is a gestalt entity to begin with.

As the owner of Bitzbox I wish to apologise for the comment left on my page this morning. Resin Forge have been very clever in giving me their side of the story for the last few months and making out everyone on Dakka to have a vendetta against them and I should have not have been so foolish to believe them or research the whole story for myself. I have kept myself distant from the whole affair so had no idea of it's seriousness.

It seems that RF and their followers have been posting about their 'closure' almost everywhere on Facebook, and whether this is to gain sympathy or start more hassle, I don't know, nor do I care. The person in question has been banned from my page, as I'm sure they have from several others also, and all comments have been deleted.

I am deeply sorry for any offense that has been caused by my comment.

Craig, that is pretty classy of you to come here and say that, thank you very much. As I have always suspected, most people who unreservedly support RF really didn't look at the evidence amassed over the course of years here and elsewhere. But that is Mandelbaums trick, playing the victim is something he does better than anyone I have ever seen either in reality or fiction.

I am extremely gratified that you found the evidence sufficient to raise the alarm and also that you took the time too look. This thing with RF is not something to be 'won', there is no real victory to be had. All we want, or have ever wanted, is to make sure that that they can't hide behind aliases or do business without people at least being able to know what they may be getting into. I would imagine most people would, as you have, find the track-record disturbing enough to think twice on examination. We just hope most take the time to take a quick look here or elsewhere before they spend their money or give their personal information over.

Thank you for taking the time and having the guts to come and apologize. It's easy to reach the wrong conclusion when confronted with only one side of a conflicting incident, or in Mandelbaum's case, years and years of (alleged) incidents...

+1 to this. Amen. Respect for Bitzbox definitely went up here. There's no shame to be had to admit that you made a mistake. RF is dragging everyone else down into the dirt with them that they can, and all they're doing is hurting the reputations of small businesses such as your own. There's a quote that goes something like, "once bitten, twice forewarned". Those scammed by RF would be less likely to purchase from small businesses in the industry anymore.

Just so you know, while I'm not a frequent customer, I am a customer and FB liker, and Bitz Box was very definitely on my 'list' of companies I am happy to use depending on price and availability. In light of that comment left on FB, that all changed.

Your post here has reassured me that yours is a company I'm still happy to deal with, you did the right thing.

The general gist is "Dakka Bad, RF Good!" However I didnt read it either because after trying to navigate the Texas Legal Code for small businesses yesterday I am avoiding any "Wall O' Text.." for a while..

Last time I did it for another project I was working on, it was $5 for 500 likes. Not too expensive.
