your family that is.

are you from a big family, a small family, perhaps the product of some mad scientist?

me, large family

at best estimate i have, and this is not counting the effects of people getting married, for the most part

6 uncles-one of which is younger then me
a brother, step-sister, and technically since the divorce didn't go through yet, 2 step-brothers, and a niece

9 first cousins, 2 of which kids

and do to that fact that the great-grandparent generation consisted of rather large families, i think i have a hundred or better 3rd cousins that aren't to far removed.
and who knows how many more that are of a slightly more distant relation
i figure if i gathered up all my relatives, i could conquer many small towns

oh, and here is an image i ran across somewhere long ago

Well, there's me, my brother, 2 female Cousins (one on each side) 3 male cousins (one of whom is 27 years my junior), Grandad Allan, Granny and Grandad Robinson, Step-Grans family (though she is now deceased, does that still count?) plus a crapload of folks in Canada.

Parents are working on the family tree. Dad's half is complete, and I am descended from Orcadian Crofters. Which explains a lot! Mums side is hella confused, involving Circus Strongman (my.....Great, Great Grandad) and a Gypsy Princess (my Great Great Granny) plus various children born out of wedlock (Yup, Great Gran Rhonda put it around a bit!) and it's a mess!

Huzzah!

man MDG, that does sound a touch confusing.

I think the best randomness my family has is a few native americans way way back, at least a few people with names like Pearl and Dallas, there are rumors of a baseball player from the 20's or 30's or so,

and according to one grandmother, there are some so distant it doesn't really count that much anymore folks in i think it was the southern part of ireland.

Its hard to keep track of family when most of your great-grandparents were one of like 12 kids

Aha! That explains a lot actually.

Mum dad, 1 sister--don't and haven't spoken to her for........ gak....... 10+years now. Dad's family all dead except some branches I've never met, whole heap of mothers side rellies in the middle of nowhere in Scotland, they're all dying now,...ah well.

Got a few cousins etc around but I don't have anything to with them, hell I haven't seen any of them for a good 15+ years.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I have too many family members to count, on both my fathers and mothers side i'm related to about 70 people. Most live in England and four out in Oz, all i know about my family background is that that my great great grandparents were from Ireland.

Got a mum, two sisters and a brother.
Dad died 3 years ago.
Have two brothers-in-law, two nieces and a nephew.

They took up one table at my wedding reception (The wife's family took up two. 8 seat tables).

The boys in my family don't breed (after dad.).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
