Lego,

Is it even remotely possible to include some kind of notice during the photo upload/attachment process? We're seeing more and more people uploading random non-wargaming images, completely ignorant of the rules. Doesn't even have to be a pop-up, just maybe a big, bold banner somewhere near the attachment tools screaming...err, politely reminding users that the image hosting here on dakka is solely for wargaming related images, not pictures of hats or barrels or random movie stills for that WAR thread.

I'm the first to agree that reference images are crucial, but shouldn't people be hosting their own non-wargaming pictures? Curious if it's possible, the dakka front page randomly gets littered with ridiculous random/stupid pictures from time to time.

Fair point, I'll add a small note alongside the attachments fields. We are pushing the rules a bit harder to new users soon as well, and the homepage will soon be changing too, so that should take care of a lot of the issues.

Thanks! I think even just a note by the fields will help.

Also, thank you again for all the work you put into our favorite online community!

No problem, programming is my main hobby and warhammer is my second hobby so it works out alright for me! Thanks for sharing your great conversions (and get the plasticard ready because another modelling challenge is coming somewhat soon as well hopefully!)

I guess that would make talking about gaming rather than gaming itself my main hobby.
