and and now that he has been sufficiently greenstuffed...

it comes to painting...

so how should we paint this nurgle marksman?

Intriguing! Only thing is that he looks too chunky to be a Vindicare. Wait...is he a Vindicare Assassin turned to Nurgle or a Nurgle Marine with a sniper?

Even if he was a Vindicare Assassin turned to Nurgle, he wouldn't be wearing Power Armor

That aside, it's a cool pose.
And I'd say just do the standard Nurgle colors. They're pretty good camo colors, to be frank.

I'm just making them marines with the assassin weapons...

just the chaos answers to them...

you could give him "urban camo" with a taint of your army colous here n there, or make him clasic black/grey,

I was asked this on the other thread...

in the aspiring champion sprew of a regular squad of chaos space marines... the nurgle shoulder pad has a very skull like appearance...

so I trimmed it down to match the cheek bone look of a skull and slapped it on the front of another helmet...

vio la! a nurgle "assassin" mask...

I dont know if he's all that great...

He is bit too dark. The contradiction between reality and minis is very present in painting these snipers. They are really hard to paint pleasing the eye and realistic at the same time.

I would either lighten the base or the fig to make him stand more out. Currently he is lost against the base.

Is this a WIP or a finished shot?

If its finished I'd echo Metsuri. The colours are a little too dark. To my mind a nurgle sniper would actually be very bright. Nurgles followers are diseased and pox ridden and the areas they corrupt tend to follow suit. So you could do some great things with naturally camoflaging him with swamps and the disease ridden slime around him.

For example why not have him hiding in a pile of corpses, or surrounded by hordes of nurglings?

Also Whilst I really like what you've done in terms of conversion personally I think it would have been more interesting to go the guard/renegade militia route as a base for this figure.

The conversion itself is interesting however I'm also in doubt of using a space marine model as the base for a sniper model. I agree with gundam that a guard / renegade model would have been a better base for this conversion.

You should add some red sores and poxes to him to "liven" him up a little bit.
