Here is my 40k based guard unit the 1st Merican Lancers the Big Red One.
They are a Terran based unit from the Hive Spires of Ancient Merica.

The first few guys of the platoon
I went with Vallejo Dark sea grey for the helmet and body armor and us olive drab for the cloth, all my guard equipment guns, backs ect are Catachan green

I used a Commissar for the Colonel

Heavy Stubber

and now the first of the Leman Russes

Thanks,The Russ came out so well because I paint my tanks the way WWII historical modelers do
with alot of airbrush work, oil paint washes, and weathering powder.
I would be more than happy to crank out a few on a commission basis $25+tank(price or model)
conversions are extra

What colors did you use on the tank? And is there any way you can get some lighter shots of the infantry? They look really nice, but as dark as the picture is, I can't see much detail.

Have you thought about converting an M-3 Lee model to a leman russ for this army? It would fit well with the American theme

Very nice. I'm not too sure on the heavy stubber though -- is that going to be a Heavy Bolter?

The Russ is particularly nice.

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

Hey, for better or for worse, GW came up with it first. The Merican Fusiliers were one of the regiments that fought under Solar Macharius in the Macharius Crusade. Check it out here: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Macharian_Crusade

That is a nice model ChaosDave.
That would make a neat Russ,If I went the WWII model route I am more drawn to the Russian stuff.
It looks more 40k to me
The armor is Dark Sea Grey and clothing is US olive drab from Vallejo and the eqpt is Catachan Green
The Colonel's Coat is Khemei Brown with Oygrn flesh/Devlin mud wash.

My first read was "Mexican Lancers."

Really like the depth of the paint on the Russ hull. Might want to just go ahead and get some decals with the star logo.

It is a thing with me.
Unconverted models are an anathema to me.

Here is the first tank just about done, which is the second tank in the company.
Miss Liberty a bare bones model that has been extensively reworked in her lifetime.
This was the first Russ I built which explains the unorthodox exhust in the back
I would like to still maybe add some stowage there someday
The next tank will be the command tank that is a scratchbuilt Vanquisher
that will have all the bells and whistles I can cram on.
