I know many, many people have asked about removing paint. I ve been using simple green but when I scrub it, it takes forever and doesnt work also it breaks my necrons. How do you remove paint without scrubbing them?

A slum in scotland... the only shinty with a computer!

have you tryed leaving them to soak for a few hours/days? and are they plastic or metal?

if they are metal nail varnish remover might do the job, but if there plastic then dont, they will die along with the paint and become rather gooie and deformed... i found that out the funny way. i left a marine in it for about an hour, and he came out with realy fat legs and a rather funny mess... but hey. and if there metal you can use alot more harsher things, coming to think of it if there breaking there gona be plastic i preaume.... so yeah, try soaking them for longer and use a softer brush,(i personaly use a soft kiddies toothbrush, does the job, AND is a pretty colour!).

wow, i have wrote a whole paragreph! have fun dodging my spelling errors, .

i use one of those brushes for cleaning under your nails after washing your hands, works pretty well and i've yet to break anything.

i've also found that about a 2 day soak helps, i've had the majority of a paintjob just wipe off after that long a soak in the green

Purple Power (an automotive degreaser) works tons better than Simple Green. Sometimes it breaks the paint down so thoroughly that you can just rinse it off! Any scrubbing can usually be done by a toothbrush. Completely plastic-safe, and very cheap. There's still the occasional job it doesn't do too well (usually when the paint's too...rubbery? You know what I mean,) but it's THE best multi-purpose paint remover I've found yet.

I think Oops! brand remover also works extremely well- I tried it a few years back, and I got most of the paint off just by swirling the jar around for a minute. The downside is that it eats plastics for breakfast, so it's definitely metals-only.

Bernard, float over here so I can punch you.

Yeah purple power works pretty well, overnight soak then it should flake right off with a toothbrush

Here is an article about stripping...

http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Dakka_Modeling_FAQ:_How_to_Strip...

I've used Super Clean and followed this tutorial and it was a MINIMAL of scrubbing. The paint came right off. MINIMAL = less then 30 seconds a figure.
