Hello,
After a long time lurking Im finally getting around to join the action.
Having eagerly been following all the various wonderful =I=munda threads, I have started to experiment a little with stuff from my bitzbox.

the idea is some sort of Dark Mechanicus warband very much inspired by DakkaRush's own "gang." another influence is excessive amounts of Resident evil 5

my problem is that I really don't know much about the Dark mechanicus and as such, I am pretty much making stuff up as I go along, basing it on a twisted zombie version of the Adeptus mechanicus. But Im not sure they are just quite, evil looking enough?

So here are some of the of the results they are all very much wip and still needs GS-work done: Do they seem DM-ey enough?

Dark Praetorian with added arms, is the shoulder pad too marine-ish?

Very inspiring conversions! They remind me of the classical swedish pen and paper rpg Kult that had (among many other very awesome things) metal/flesh hybrid demons thingies. They do seem like techpriests gone bad. Possibly chaos, possibly just being too curious for their own good. The spacemarine shoulderpad seems fine. It may look a little "power armour", but it is after all the techies who makes the power amrours. You could try turning it, so the longer edge goes horizontally, that may change the look a bit.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

AWESOME conversions, man. Very, very cool. Love the poses, love the imagery, love the unified look, LOVE the Haemoncolyte!

Great work.

Although I don't know what Dark Mechanicus is, [probably because I don't do =I=], I'm guessing it's Adeptus Mechanicus "just being to curious".

I like the way these models are coming along, but I think the conversions are a little strange. The zombie parts mixed with mechanical bits is interesting, but a still a bit strange. They sort of remind me of Dark Eldar Grotesques who went a little overboard.

Nice models over all, and I really like the Dark Praetorian. Can't wait to see them painted!

Altough I don't recognise any RE5 influences in there, those are some nice conversion.
- The Acolytes are simple, yet effective.
- The Dark Skitarii needs some more work. The sensor in the head is a good idea, I did that with a few Orks myself, but it should be more in the head, right now it looks too much like it has been just glued on the side.
- the heamonclyte is my favourite so far
- the Dark Preatorien is a nice concept, but ther middle part sticks out to much. Can you attach the legs to a smaller disc? And the torso should be more connected to the lower part, maybe with some cables.

If I knew, I'd tell you.

Looks good for a start but I think you need more fleshy parts on them- especially the "what is wrong with you" guy and the dark praetorian.

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

These are awesome very gothic sci-fi I'd however suggest making the two halves looking connected possibly with greenstuff on the Praetorians.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.
