along the same lines as the thread dicussing the Vendetta/Valkyrie, how many of the new command squads is enough? i'm sure like most IG players, i've got plenty of command models already purchased and converted. but i don't think i can resist the urge to buy at least a couple of the Cadian boxes. i don't really have a use for the Catachans box, but there are too many cool bits in the Cadian one to pass up, imho. thoughts?

I had a quick look at both today. (Both myself and the main Redshirt in my local GW are IG nuts).

The new army I'm planning is based around the Cadians but I certainly plan on getting 1 or 2 of the Catachan boxes anyway as the parts are fully interchangeable. Plus the number of left over bits will allow you to convert a few Sergent's and Hardened Vets squads.

New sentinel is stunning as well. Really looking forward to this. I haven't touched 40k in ages but now I'm really looking forward to starting to play again!

I plan on buying at least two command squads. They look awesome and the amount of bits is well.. awesome!

It's looking to me a $25 box of bits to use on my other cadian models.

I was thinking of buying the Catachan command squad box, more so because they look pretty cool for once.

Just a warning though , the catachan and cadians are not as interchangeable as you think o_o

the torso size doesnt match , nor does the beefy arms.

and unless they changed the pants/torsos they also don't match up well at the belt line either.

I think I'll eventually buy two Cadian commands and one Catachan. The Catachans will be a sacrifice for my bitz box, the Cadians will find a more direct use as officers, veterans and anything else i can think of. The plastic special weapons will come in handy too.

Two of each command box, along with the Primaris, Commissar Lord, Advisors, 2 Shadowswords and 6 Valkyries. Any money left over goes into Sentinels.
