Well I thought Id right GW an email to see if Id get lucky and someone actually write me a worth while reply. I asked if the DE were going to be phased out and if not if in the near future they were getting ANY sort of an update. SO here is the reply. I like the AT LEAST through to september part. Ive heard closer to December so maybe thats a pretty good guess on a release. Take it or leave but it made me feel a little better as far as my wife wanting to play them lol. EMAIL!

I can’t comment on rumors, but I can say with assurance there will not be anything new coming out for Dark Eldar atleast thru September. I have not heard anything about Dark Eldar being phased out. It is still a pretty popular army.

Isn't September 6 months from the time the OP wrote GW? Seems like the policy of no comments beyond 6 months holds.

I can picture the "Announcement" in October.

do you realize that they actually said nothing more than "I dunno, wait and see..."? that's not real news... you could date their response for january and july of every year since 2001 and it would be just as appropriate since it says nothing.

QFT. Where are you guys getting "They shelved the book" out of this response? They literally said, I haven't heard of anything until september, which most likely means that this employee has knowledge of all releases until september and Dark Eldar aren't on that list. It also doesn't mean that they will necessarily be released immediately after september either, merely that the employee has no knowlege either way.

Please, try not to display your ignorance. We know that Jes Goodwin is resculpting the DE. Those were some test sculpts which will not be used which were not made by him. They were made in about 1948, as I recall.

He said he wouldn't be done until until at least 2010, most likely. There. That's the info.

I swear I'll stab anyone who posts these DE pics again saying they are possible new stuff. We've heard that and seen it a thousand times already.
