They need better painters! That isn't even a wash on those muscles, for shame!

I definitely see myself getting a set of those chariots for my WHFB celts though. You know, after I build and IG army of about 5000000 pts.

It's not that rare, really. Most historical minis are not painted to what we'd call "tabletop standard", I suppose it's because they're usually fielded en masse, and historical gamers tend to be history buffs as opposed to people interested in assembling and painting fiddly bits.

It's kind of weird, because I agree the muscles don't exactly have a top shelf paint job, but look at the pants and clothing - those are all painted up quite well I think. Not jaw-droppingly well, but certainly a strong tabletop standard.
The one guy looks like he has a toothpick for a javelin though!
I just though though, you know what these guys would be good for in a GW game? Chaos Marauders! If I get motivated to finish my Chaos army I might actually pick up a box just for that purpose...
