How do you select Ghazskul in AB?

Thanks!

When you are starting AB, you get a pop up that allows you to select the army, points level and other rules. You click in the list of rules and it allows you to check a box for special characters. I'd give a more precise answer if I could actually open AB at the moment.

If you have already got a list there's a link for the roster rules in one of the pull down menus that accesses the same thing.

Edit: OK here's the more precise explanation.

When you first start AB and you have chosen the file version (should be 40k 5th edition) you'll get the create new roster pop up screen. In the center of that screen is a blue button with a check mark in it. If you let the mouse hover over that button you'll get a tag that says "rules." Clicking on that button brings up another dialog box with two columns. In the left column there is an entry for Roster Options. Click it and the right column becomes a list of check boxes. Second from the bottom is one called Special Characters. Check the box and click OK. Then click create on the Create Army Roster dialog box and you will have special characters available.

If you already have a roster built you can open that roster normally. Select Roster>Change Rules from the drop down and you will have the same dialog box with an entry for Roster Options and a check box for Special Characters.

Also since we are on the topic of AB has anyone else noticed that upgrading to changling adds another model for +5 rather than upgrading?

The datafiles for AB are buggy at best and utterly wrong at worst. They are intend as an addition for the codex, not a replacement. You can go to he datafile website and report bugs there however, and they will be fixed eventually.

Considering they are free they do a fantastic job.

I have no complaints about AB... most bugs are fixed relatively quickly after being reported.

Thanks for the help guys.

I would say to avoid mistakes, use your Codex, but I'm not sure I could do so with a straight face.

Mine adds an extra model for 22. Then you can drop the squad count by one, if you only want 5 guys. I haven't seen a problem with Changeling.

Maybe its just mine then. I double checked and indeed its +5 and adds 1.

Are you sure you have the latest version of the files?

Don't trust the auto update, go to the ab40k site and get the files manually.

Yeah, I couldn't get the auto update to work with this latest update last week. I knew there was a fix that affected me (free rhinos for BA veteran assault marines that trade in their jump packs) and I wasn't seeing it. I tried several times and it wouldn't import until I did it manually.
