Hi everybody. After being inspired yb some of the amazing adeptus mechanicus blogs out there, I've decided to start my own skitarii force. However, after reading Mechanicum and Titanicus I realized that the way the skitarii are portrayed by these other people is not the same as it is in those books and that I like the portrayal in the books better. (No offense meant to those who made the blogs, like Apologist, your execution is brilliant, but I prefer another look.) For those of you who haven't read those books or would like to refresh their memory, I've attached a word file with relevant parts of my source material. You will note the descriptions of skitarii in there are quite different from the look and which many of us love.

There are two reasons why I started this blog (even though I haven't starting working on the minis yet); the first is that I want to keep myself motivated, and this will almost certainly help with that. The second is that I'm not yet sure about what minis to use for my conversions, and what colours to paint them in (I at least want them to be in the colours of one of the Titan Legions, but I'm not sure which.) I would really appreciate any suggestions you could give me for that.

As for the rules to use, I'm 90% sure I'll be using the new IG codex that's coming out. Veterans with carapace armour should do for skitarii, and most (if not all) of their vehicles are those of the Imperial Guard. I might actually start on a chimera I have lying around from my IG once I've decided on a colour scheme.

So please give me some suggestions for what to base my conversions on, and I'll try to produce a blog worthy of this fine site.
