I just finished my Big Mek.
This is my first conversion of a non-vehicle mini, but I think he turned out pretty good.
Putting him out here for feedback and ideas for future projects(I still need to
model a Shokk Attack Gun).
He has two Bionic arms, a leg, and a power spanner I'm counting as a power claw,
and a KFF.

I would spread the arms out a bit. His pose looks really rigid, almost zombie like, with them just held out like that. Also, I would add a bit more bulk to his bionikz.

Other then that, it's a wonderful conversion, and I really love the overall look. No stupidly large bionik weapons, but I think I'll live.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I thought the pose looked a little funny too, but wasn't sure how to fix it before. I think I'll move the trigger hand to the right , so it gets out of the middle and opens up the front a bit.

I'd also lower the arm a bit. Just a bit though. Basicly, tilt, lower, turn.

Bigger Bionics more of a dynamic or casual pose as well or even Comical pose would be good.

Are those stratch build arms???

They dont call me Garybrandy for nothing!

how is it off topic? we hardly know what the topic even is!

@Boss, yeah, everything that is white is scratch built from styrene sheets or rods.

I redid his arm real fast, I'll probably dump the shoulder pad and make a smaller, new one.
I don't think I have the guts to redo his whole pose. That would be cutting into alot of finished work.
I also added a shot of the KFF, I think it needs bulking up a little. I can add things pretty easily, so adding more wires
and bulking up the bionics is do-able.

Hmmmm yea bulkier bionics will go down a treat try to detract from the static pose

I suggest making the backpack a massive switchbox.

really nice and cool idea but i dont think the AOBR nobs head suits it. try the other nob head with the cybork implants in his face.

Started Painting him, still have a long way to go.
I'm entering him into a LGS contest for HQ's,so he'll have
to be better than my usual "just get it painted!" standard.
Any suggestions for additions/changes?

I don't know, there's something missing... Like a wire in his head to suggest some neural interface with his arms or something, a bionic eye or more loose wiring perhaps. It's brilliantly done so far, don't get me wrong, but it kinda looks more like a NecronNob than a bigmek...

Put an grot assistant on the base for a bit of contrast and much brighter green, would be my suggestion.

Awesome looking model.

Try adding more pointless extras and gubbinz to the KFF.

Brilliant even so.

The wires running from the handle to the KFF and the ones on the spanner are
from an old hard drive I ripped apart. Just regular old wires.
The wires in the KFF body are actually melted down styrene rods. Just hold over a
lighter for a few seconds(high enough not to scorch it), and it sags a little, repeat(do this outside).
I've been painting him a little each day, and he's coming along nicely. I'll post more pics when there's
a noticeable difference.
