Chaos Gate and Final Liberation were great. Both were to have exp out after they were released, but I think they went to the way side. There are some peeps online who have created upgrades to FL, but it's a bit buggy and the game is over ?6 years old?

No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester

A compilation based on the two Games Workshop Warhammer universes.

This 4 CD set includes two Warhammer Fantasy games (Shadow of the Horned Rat and its sequel Dark Omen) and two Warhammer 40K games (Chaos Gate and Final Liberation). All four games come with .pdf documentation and are patched to their final versions.

Good luck running any of these on XP or Vista without loading an older operating sytem. I got a patch to run Final Lib to run on XP, but Vista wont have anything to do with it. I bought Shadow back in the day and never got into it. Chaos Gate is also funky and buggie. Play Dawn of War, instead.

QFT!

That game is HARD. I had a friend who had a much slower PC. He was able to get further in it because the game moved so slowly, he could really do some plotting and strategy.

I got Chaos Gate to run just fine on XP. In fact, it ran better than it ever did on it's native Windows platform for me.

Think I made it to the 3rd Battle where you run into the Skaven. I just remember the Rat Ogre tearing through everything and giving up.

I've got Chaos gate installed on my XP machine, but I need a patch to get the thing to slow down so I can see what's going on. It's not a bad game - I used to play it on my old 'puter that was better suited for it. I had the same 4-pack and Final Liberation always crashed on me. The fantasy games I never installed.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
