I am planning on adding some Noise Marines to my army (fully equipped with sonic blasters) and I am having trouble coming up with a good conversion. Because the box set only comes with one Sonic Blaster and it is a little over expensive to order the bits, I am looking for simple, cheap, and good looking ways to model Sonic Blasters.
Take the bolter, Chop off the very tip of the barrel.
Replace the tip with a lego Small radar dish. * 10 for 2.50 on ebay, cheaper if you can find a larger lot.*
I used the small deamon head from the vehicle sprue. clip the end off a bolter, glue the head on. Then use some 7 GA guitar string (The big thick one) and run it from the bolter to his shoulder pad. do 2 runs, maybe a run from the weapon back to itself.
Its pretty cheap. Every chaos player probably has a couple extra of the heads, and the guitar string is like $3 or less. I got the cheapest they had for a full guitar and it only cost like $5.
