So the idea is the conscripts screen the rest of the army.The rest of the army just shoots (obviously). Thanks to the special charecters, the conscripts have Counter attack, furious charge, stubborn, and LD10. So when they eventualy get charged, about half will die, the other half will counter attack, kill a couple and lose combat but are stuborn so they take a LD10 moral check, and pass. On my turn I use the send in the next wave rule and remove the chewed up squad. The assulter now in the open get shot up, rinse repeat.

weak point will be Kill point missions, since each time I send in another wave it'l be another kill point.

Its interesting, unlikely to work reliably against a fast enough enemy I would think, but sounds like it will be fun to try regardless

I actualy got to try a larger version in apocalypse, against a Deathwing/assault marines army, with lots of terminators in drop pods .

If it wasnt an apocalypse game I'm prety sure it would have worked, I'll have to try it out more though.

I think you probably want to Trade out Yarrick for a regular commissar lord. It will save you quite a bit of points, and he still has the Aura of Courage (or whatever it's called).

Honestly, though, I think that your idea to remove the Conscripts and shoot the crap out of the enemy unit might be a mistake. Your 3 Colossi will probably be inside minimum range, and Bastion Breaker shells on the Medusa just aren't that impressive against infantry. The Griffons should be okay. Otherwise, your firepower just isn't that impressive. 4 Autocannons, 3 Meltaguns, and some grenade launchers aren't that much firepower.

I think you though on how to use the conscripts is right on, but the rest of the army is light on firepower.

ditch the artillery, and bring heavy weapon squads or more line troops.

SHushi your right about the firepower being light, I dont realy want to drop the artilery though. I made some changes

So my changes have added in terms of firepower
10 autocannon
2 GL
3 griffon shells
3 collosus shells.
2 plasma gun
2 las cannon

I'm thinking i could probly lose a collosus and get a couple more line squads what do you folks think?
