ok so i know im stupidfor not havin the codexs for these army but i want to know which 2 to go for before i buy them.
i hav a chaos SM and a tau army atm. i hav a person waiting to sell me about 2000pts worth of orks, lots of pts worth of IG, and i dont know but he has like 5 carnifexses.
so im wanting to know what you guys think i should go for. im wanting some lists for these armys 2000pts please

Competitive vs. Fun

Assault vs. Mid Field vs. Gun-Line?

I'd probably go with Orks and IG. I love my Tyranids, but they got stale after a while. IG and Orks can have quite a bit of variation in its lists while still remaining competitive and fun, helping prevent them from getting stale. One cool thing about IG is that they're getting a shiny new codex very soon, so lots of new (hopefully) rules and toys to play with them.

And Orks always rock.

Neither Orks nor Tyranids are "Assault only" armies. Both of them have very impressive firepower should you choose to take it.

I would go as far as to say that to take an all assault ork army would be a mistake- one that I myself have made on a regular basis. They are not overly fun lists, and if there is a unit you can not crack with assault (wonderful I3 on the charge) you will get to watch your army get picked apart by a single unit. That being said, I love orks for the sheer variety of armies you can field. Currently I have a horde, kan wall, speed freak, armored company, and gunline lists, and all of them perform reasonably well.

What do you mean by small amount of units? Not much variety in the codex? or the number of models on the table?

I play nid zilla but I always field 100+ gaunts....

Also I recomend orks if you want to win... nids if you want to have fun and do lots of neato converions... I have 6 fex's and only one looks like it does on the box.....

you can have make a horde,middle weight,flying, or godzilla army with the tyranids

speed freaks and footslogging orks

(dont know about the imperial guard)

in my opinoun you should check some mini's,tactica and golden demon entry's of those army you wanna play
(and your not stupid i think nobody buy's 3 codexes to see wich army he wants to choose)

Nidz will become less common due to people going to IG, IG and Orkz will be the most played IMO. Last week at my local hobbyland, there were 5 ork players out of 7 people there... I was one of them but im going deathwing just because I can't stand the amount of ork players.

Just play IG and Orks. If not IG, then at least Orks because even if you lose, they are such a funny race to play that you'll end up having a good time anyway.

I've played Tyranids for quite some time and i love em to death. They don't get stale imo, because you have so many options with them. Most Tyranid players assume that because you can take 6 carnifex's that you should.

The amount of variety you have with nids is astonishing. It's like building your own stat line for the most part. If you are only playing for fun, you can really go wild on your units. That's not suggested though because you can only make survivability so good...but just for fun it is fine.

Orks are way to common and i predict that IG will soon be aswell. However, nothing prevents you from taking IG and making it a chaos renegade force just to spice it up a bit.

I play guard, a lot of guard, and I love them. The new codex simply adds to the variety of different play styles. As well, nids are fun to play against, therefore I would assume that they're fun to play as.

As much as I hate playing orks, and it seems most new players pick up orks now, I say if you want to smash face, then Orks it is. The new IG codex may give you some of what your looking for, but needs to go through a lot of testing (I will be testing it with my Chaos Renegades ). Orks give you extremely competitive lists, and are not always just for assaults... shoota boyz, lootas, KFF big meks, etc. Personally, I have played against orks so much now, I am bored of them, without ever even playing them. But all of my friends have fun with them and again they have a highly competitive codex, much moreso than Tyranids. I can't say how they will compare to IG, though I am already seeing some Ork-hate IG lists with the new Codex, so fair warning
