Per a request from one of the members of the Sprue Posse, I have decided to post my current progress with my Black Legion army (a.k.a The Big Cheese = Dual Lash, 6+ Oblits, and Plague Marine Cookie Cutter Army). I have 1750 points of the army painted, but 3 Rhinos and 2 PM Squads were painted by a thrid party and I will not be posting those. However, I am in the process of replacing those models with ones that I have painted myself and will post the progress of that effort as well. My goal with this army is to take it into the world of Apocalypse by adding the Slanesshi Major Daemon (already built and primed), a Chaos Warhound Titan, and a Brass Scorpion. FYI, this was also my first army and my first attempts at painting miniatures As part of bring it to Apocalypse level, I am also building a Chaos Renegades (counts as Imperial Guard) and plogging it's progress here.

After that I will start on the Super Heavies!!!

Some minor work on my Plague Marines, mostly just work on the metallic trim:

I was wondering what to do with the Land Raiders I had built a while ago and decided that Big Cheese is Big Cheese and that a Land Raider full of Khorne Berzerkers would do...

So here is my current WIP for a Black Legion based Khorne Squad in a Land Raider:



Lots of weathering, basing, and cleanup.. not to mention 7-9 more Berzerkers, that are built, primed, and have the red on them... but far from done.

So I decided to do a full inventory of all of my built Chaos Space Marine Models, and to my surprise I found I have 11729 points of Chaos Space Marines, including 101 non-cult Chaos Space Marines with various options... some pics:






Unfortunately, only about 2500 points are painted. So much work

I haven't glued the armor plates on yet, since I want to paint it before I do so. I also seemed to have lost or didn't get one of the armour plates, so I will have to figure something out.. its not too noticable, but still annoying.

Wow thats an impressive horde shot! Do your Daemon Princes actually have modelled lashes?

Since Lash is a Psychic Power, I didn't feel they needed to be modeled... however, I have some great ideas for customizing them to be more Slaaneshi, but I want to wait the plastic kit for the Daemon Prince to come out.

You have a lot of soldiers the Obliterator Cult's Flesh looks really good & rotten same with the vindicator nice paint job. Keep It up I want to see the Brass Scorpion Painted.

You have a brass scorpion and you haven't painted it yet. Something is very wrong with this picture.

I like the rhino though. Very cool.

The horizontal, non-linear spikes actually make spiky bitz look GOOD on a Rhino. That's astounding. Great work on the paint, too.

The massive section of the Chaos Star across the Rhino's hull is very well done, good job.

Fabius Bile WIP... lots more detail to add, but I just switched to using Vallejo Game Color (VGC) paints, instead of Citadel, to see what it looked like, and while my painting needs some help, I think the VGC paints are a great alternative now.

Thanks! It's been hit or miss for the most part, but glad to hear people think I am getting better. My lack of patience still gets the better of me and I am still taking short cuts where I shouldn't.
