just as the title says i bought a black reach box and i was going to paint them and sell them. how much do you think i could sell them for?

I was thinking 60 dollars for the orks and 60 dollars for the space marines. what do you think?

I think that you're expecting a little much for stock trooper models from a very common box set that most buyers can find cheaply online. Painting doesn't add a 400% value to miniatures, usually.

You can buy it for around $45 so without the rules and everything else half the models should sell for about $20.

i understand that. So I need to ask for less. Maybe about 40?

How good are you at painting?

Depends on how well you paint them!
But you have to remember that you are competing with online stores.
The warstore sells painted versions of the models for a significant mark up.
45-60$ for each half sounds good, but you would have to post some pics of your work!

one problem: no camera. I have some of my necrons because I brought them to school, but besides that I don't have access to a camera at all. Sorry. I have Eldar, Necrons, and Tyranids.

well, nobody is going to pay any mark up for paint without a good picture. Most of the time, a painter can do more to improve the final price of his stuff by getting better at photography than at painting.

For the tactical squads and Dread, a well painted example in common colors (UM, BA, DA) should fetch $25-40 for the tacs, and $20+ for the dread. that's for well painted, meaning better than most people can paint on their own.

OK, just had a look at the necrons in your gallery, and without meaning to be harsh, they're not a standard i'd pay for, and i'm no Golden Daemon winner.

You paint cleanly, within the lines etc., but beyond that there doesn't seem to be too much to it. Then again, you may be talking about a different standard of which you are capable

Next thing I buy is going to be a camera.

any way how much for the orks?

my necrons are simple because i think that necrons look better with less color on them. i dont have any pictures of my others so... i am confident that i will be able to produce great minis.
