Why do Stormtroopers special weapons come in packs of 4 when you can only have two in a squad. This seems pointless to me and I was wondering if this is different for apocalypse or IG, because I play Daemonhunters.

They come one of each special in a pack. It's basically a way to get people to buy flamers and grenade launchers (which nobody wants) just to get meltas and plasmas.

Of course, once upon a time, you could order individual special weapons dudes, so you could just get the all-important Plasma guys.

Or the Grenade Launchers to Meltaguns.

Except on the GW website you get melta and plasma to one 14 dollar pack and flamer and grenade launcher in another.

The pen is mightier then the sword, but you must keep a sword handy for when the pen runs out of ink.
