I have a tournament coming up this weekend, my sisters were prepared for war and payed their entry fee early. Now, I haven't gotten a chance to paint much lately because of other things getting in the way. My FLGS usually does not care about painting for tournament but I find out last night that at this tourny, paint scores will be weighed towards your overall score.

So, in short I have to paint about 1500 pts of mechanized sisters of battle in 3 days. I will post pictures starting tomorrow of my painting frenzy... Wish me luck!

you can probably pull off a 3-color-done plan pretty quick if you do it right.

This is the scheme, and they will be painted to this quality too, not to mention to 9 tanks in the list.

Maybe invest in an airbrush for the tanks? Best of luck mon!

currently waiting for some spray paint to dry then starting the frenzy, tonight and tommorow are the tanks, then friday is troops.

You can do it! You sohuld be able to replicate that color scheme pretty easily and it looks like something that will paint quickly for you.

I'm going to have to do about 1500pts of CSM on Friday night for a tournament this saturday, so I know how you feel. I was stupid and didn't bring models back to school with me last weekend so I can't work on them during the week :(

I'm going to make an "army in a night" blog and then just continue on with it as I finish the rest of my CSM stuff after the tournament.

yeah you can knock out the metal in a few hours with some tamiya gunmetal spray and some badab black.

same for the tanks.

I had to do the EXACT same thing with my guard just several weeks ago (April 4th or so...)
I had 5 HWS, 7 Officers, 2 Special Officers, 50 Guard, 2 Special Guard, and 2 tanks

They had to be painted with 3 color minimums, and based. and I had to balance school and homework with it. I had to call upon my friend to help me finish painting. It was brutal.... they were also shiny as hell, seeing as I used a non-gw/citadel spraypaint. I used a metallic silver spray from wally world lol, it was hard to paint on, it was so aggrivating.... I felt relieved when I found out I didn't receive last place in painting so have faith!

It even works great if you do a single tone for the infantry, or one that can be applied as a basecoat well.

Airbrush and prime white and go ink/wash crazy remember you can always strip metal after the fact. You just need to get them done. Focus on getting three colors down and then go back. Do not get stuck on something. Take 5min to set aside music or a movie that is in theme with the army, trust me it makes the experience better and faster.

52 sisters?! Oh god thats going to suck for you lol. I based and painted just the skin on 60 boyz about a month or so ago and that SUCKED! That was just green skin lol.
