is this normal? i asked my cousin but hes no help as he only use ebay to purchase.
2) How do those bits seller make profit? seems like every way i tried to list my item, its still $2fee atleast , and the bits are sometimes sold
at only $1-$2.
3) What are your personal recommendations to list items so its cheaper?

1. List your items at the lowest cost (in my case 50p) this generates interest and these items are free to list. Remember it's an auction they won't stay at 50p. (25- 40 cents?)
2. Only use the free features. eg. one picture.
3. Make your own packaging from cardboard boxes and left over packaging from things you've bought.
That way if you're item doesn't sell you won't be charged anything. I've never had a 40k item that didn't sell in four years of selling (I've had some Fantasy and LotR that didn't).

If you use recycled boxes instead of new ones or padded envelopes then there's no packaging costs for you.
If you work 'get friendly' (No, not that friendly) with the post room staff.

1) Ok you get charged an insertion fee which will be based on the starting price of the item, then there are ther costs for listing details like extra pictures. These you will get charged regardless of the result of the auction.
Then there is a final cost fee which is a percentage of the final price if the item sells. This can be up to ten percent depending on the type of auction, membership (i.e. private user, business, ebay shop).
2) Not sure about US ebay but a $2 fee on something $1 to $2 doesn't sound right from my expereicne with ebay.
