Don't know how much this qualifies as news since I'm not quite sure how long these models are out, but I though Dakka should know.
A small company from Polland makes Discworld Miniatures. Their newest addition to the range is good ol' Cohen, but they have most of the iconic characters. 2 Deaths, Rincewind, Esme and a few more.

I hope they get round to doing the Nac MacFeegle. I'd definitely use them as Snotlings!

Eeew, a barechested old man. That's the last thing I needed to start my day.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Too right. I need to see this at the end of my day, when I can reach for a nappie.

I could think of several people who would instead drop their pants and get busy.

I saw these about a week ago, and squealed out ZOMG COHEN! to which my husband looked over to me with confusion and that "The cat just ate a tuba?" look.
I'll be buying him and the new Death soon.. I've done the original Death (With the Death of Rats) for a commission awhile back, really nice mini.

Sweet sweet figures, and if they do Detritus, Carrot, Fred Colon, Angua (as a human), and Cheery Littlebottom I will collect them in their entireity. Non-Watchmen do not interest me.

I'd love to see the Tourist Twoflower and the "Fafhrd & the Grey Mouser" stand-ins in the beginning of "The Color of Magic"...

With Rincewind and a guitar playing Death they pretty much covered all my favourite characters. Though I would love to see Death on Binky. And Albert. And Cut-Me-Won-Thorat. And Detritus.
This list will never end

Getting a full set of watchmen would make for an awesome free company for empire,
or a mordheim witch hunters force.
Did anybody click around the rest of the site? Those ork heads are sweet! I may be getting some, and mechanical wings for BA/Chaos conversions to boot.

Okay, yeah, the Patrician is awesome.
Or Havelock, as Lady Vimes would say.
Leonard da Quirm would be cool too.

I'd love to see twoflower's luggage. It would make a great objective marker.
Do they have them in fantasy?

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth
Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags. |
