With 5th edition IG coming out it seems to me that I need a more official carrying case for my tanks. I have been using an old tool case with foam, from the local hobby shop, in between each level of tanks. I can only fit about 8-10 tanks in the case and have come to the (obvious) conclusion that I need a better case. Looking at the sample valk in the GW store, tank squads and cheaper chimeras I plan to go all out. I am looking for a cheap (main concern) and portable (sometimes take a bus to travel) way to carry all those tank possibilities. Help would be appreciated!

No offense, but he said price was his main concern, and Battlefoam (while good) certainly isn't cheap.

Battle foam seems to be the best in the value for money department. Try a local outdoors store, get a pistol case.

Tanks are the easiest to carry. seriousely use a socks box like me! wrap it in towel and its good to go >.>

Make a cardboard box to fit, and the just use leftover packing foam

Have a look at rifle cases. You can get chimeras and russ's in there if you pop the turrets off the russ's and a big case is only around $40-50.

I currently get 16 rhino chassis in mine and it's a fairly narrow one (double shotgun case). A double scoped rifle case would hold much more, almost double

I'll look at the rifle cases, but traveling on public transportation with doesn't seem to be the best idea, but if it works it might be worth it to get those scared looks.
