I'm comparing the kit to the description in the IG Codex and trying to understand what's what.

1. I see in the kit that it appears that there are two options for the nacelle on the right and left side of the cockpit. I assume the weedy looking one is the multi-laser and the larger one is the lascannon.

2. The valkyrie has options for 2 rocket pods or two hellstrike missiles hanging off the two wing pylons. This was pretty straightforward

3. The Valkyrie has an option for 2 sponson mounted heavy bolters. Are these the two used by the door gunners?

4. The Vendetta has 3 twin linked lascannons. I suppose the nacelle mounted one represents one of the three. Is it assumed that the other two would ride on the pylons?

The Valkyrie kit doesn´t contain weapons for making a Vendetta, apart from the missiles and the door gunners ( if you want to use them ). The "nacelle" one is the single tube lascannon that is an upgrade for the Valkyries multilaser. In order to convert a vendetta you can a) get the Forge World conversion kit or b) kitbash/scrounge the lascannons from other boxes and join them to make twinlinked versions. I used extra copies I had lying around from various Space Marine tanks. One under each wing plus one on the side of the cockpit.

I was planning on magnetizing the pylons so that I could swap out for the various weapons.

Could you use the SM predator sponsons to achieve the unsupplied 2 LC. Will they fit under the wings somewhere?

I don't have a Valkyrie yet. So I'm having trouble picturing it.

If the lascannon are twin-linked, then ideally you want twin-barrelled lascannon models for a Vendetta. The Land Raider would be the obvious choice (if they're not too big?), especially if you know any ork players with spare lascannon after they did the old LR-into-battlewagon conversion. Or maybe the newish plastic Devestator lascannon - that would be smaller but would require more conversion work to make it look vehicle-mounted

How well does the ramp stay up when closed? I'm trying to decide if I need to add magnets to the top of the ramp to keep it closed.

Should stay shut on its own. The fit is reasonably tight and shouldn´t need any magnets or other stuff.

How many Lascannons are in stock kit? Just the one?

I assume the 3rd lascannon would be on each side of hull for Vendetta.

Damnit, now I'm dreaming of an IG army. Must resist the temptation.

The stock kit comes with a single lascannon that is meant for the hull nacelle. It's an upgrade to the multi-laser included in the stock cost.

The Vendetta comes with 3 twin linked lascannons, though I was planning on using the single nacelle weapon and slinging a lascannon under each wing hardpoint. They won't have two barrels, but most people should get the point.

Also, has anyone gone the route of mounting the flying base on a CD instead of the oval base that comes with the kit?

They fit perfectly when paired up. I have a tutorial on this currently up on my blog, and it will be finished posting in the next couple of days. Follow the link in my sig.

I would think for the wing pylons use razorback lascannons and for the hull lascannons use pred lascannons.

Quite possibly. Currently, I have no desire to run out and buy a new sprue of anything, so I'll stick with what is at hand.
