Anyone have an idea on how to make it worthwhile? I really like the concept of it and the fact it can lay down 29 dice per turn.

The only thing I can really think of is putting the Knight Commander in it, but that's making it even more expensive (but better at killing vehicles).

Pask makes it better at everything it does. It makes it frightening against light infantry with a heavy20 crack shot weapon at BS4. It ruins MCs by weight of wounds. +1ap roll against tanks is nasty against light armor and scary for heavy armor if you give it a hull lascannon.

Like you said though, it makes the thing expensive. A punisher with a lascannon, plasma cannon sponsons and Pask is 285pts. Downgrade the sponsons to Heavy Bolters and you're looking at 265pts, which is stll a large chunk of points.

Well, it's great for killing horde Orks. The lack of AP doesn't matter because Orks have terrible armour, and you could be cutting down 10-15 Boyz on average.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

pure anti-infantry set up w/ pask: HB hull, HB Spons, HS pintle(3 shots for 10 more points, I'd take it). then you got 32 dice to lay down

I dont know that pure anti infantry is the way to go. In the orks example, even if you do manage to take down 15 of them that is only 90 pts of orks. That means 3 turns of shooting to make back its points, if it is lucky. That being said, finally a single tank that has a chance at turning back a 30 strong unit of boyz in one turn's shooting.

Forget the sponson bolters, forget pask, run the thing with sponson plasma cannons and a hull-mounted HB in pairs or trios... you'll give the opposition something to be really worried about.

That being said, the Executioner will toss out that toasty hot pie with much more effectiveness, at a considerably higher volume, and will take down meganobz and termie squads easily with all that nasty AP2 blast action.

The fact that it only as a 24" range on it's main gun means that it will really need to stay mobile imo.

The way I would run it is with Pask and no sponsons (w/ a HS), keep moving 6" every turn laying down 26 shots a turn.

You can add the pintle to help make up for the lost hb spons. you can still fire the pintle after moving 6" seeing as it's a defensive weapon.

I can't speak for the punisher...but Pask in an Exterminator should give fear to any eldar players.

hvy 4 ST7 re-rolling hits and wounds against wraithlords, or at STR 8 against their hover tanks. Yes please.

Only to be killed by 160 points (or less) worth of fire dragons......Eldar are scared of nothing regrettably....

Certainly fun to try with pask. Sadly just not competitive for the points value :( If you lost a 300 point tank, you'd be in a serious hole.

Footslogging dragons are not getting near a guard tank. Adding the transport kicks them over the 160 mark.

Build I'm thinking with Pask is under 225 points...with sponsons. Still a chunk...but worth it, like you say...to have fun.

Pask + Punisher + lascannon + 2x More exterminators with hull lascannons (Possibly with h.bolter sponsons all-round)

500-560pts unit o doom. Point at a squad & it should die (I think) & likewise, point at a tank & it should die aswell. Pretty tough to get rid of.

Add Pask to HB sponsons and front HB with a pintle HS.
In a squadron with a LRBT with 3 HBs and a pintle HS.

Shoot the cannon first and finish of the rest with 38(?) st 5 shots and 6 st 3 shots

24" range. No AP value. Expensive.

How do you make it useful? Take an Eradicator. That's how.

The fact is, that against most enemies it would be good against, other tanks does it better.
Orks? Eradicator, with a big template killing you on 2s, without your armour or your cover saves allowed. This is from an ork player, and I'm hating the look of these things.
Light tanks? Monstrous Creatures? The exterminator will hurt both of them with 4 TL str 7 shots.
