I need a good space marine chapter name. And i want to enlist the help of my fellow dakkaites.
So heres my paint scheme.

Seriously though, Space Marine Chapter names are hard to come up with because:

1. It's hard not to come up with a derivative name.
2. It's hard not to come up with a name that hasn't already been taken.

I suggest you do your research, and then go from there. Make sure you have a solid backstory in mind for the chapter - what Founding were they? Successors of which Legion or Chapter (can't be Salamanders or Wolves)? Any particular rituals that they adhear to? Any weaknesses? Tactical Doctrines they always use/never use? That sort of thing.

Actually a bloke at my FLGS has an army he calls the Bar Brawlers. They defend an objective marker that is (of course) a bar all game. your proposed name made me think of that for some reason

Ghost Guard, sucessors of the Raven Guard. Then the initials would be GG, which is ironic and at tournaments should get you more points because the judges would be confused at the GG on the opponents scorecard thinking it was a good game. When you can, win by trickery.

I just want to Re-iterate this point. And then Reiterate it again a thousand times over.
While nothing stops you saying they are a chapter that uses the Salamanders/Wolves/Imperial Fists/Legion-other-than-Ultrasmurfs-here Geneseed, you cannot call them a successor (i.e. 2nd Founding) to anything other than the Ultramarines unless it is one of the Successors named in that nice chart that has remained unchanged since 2nd ed.
