I just ordered the Space Marine Strikeforce box set and that comes with a Venerable Dreadnought. I'm really excited because I love Dreadnoughts in the fluff, and the model is one of my favorites despite the fact that I've not had one yet. Looking forward to making it part of my growing DA army!

I always thought dreads get a bit too much flack, this article however gives a totally unbiased look at a nice unit.

Do venerables get AV 13 front? The article should mention krak grenades glancing on 6 vs AV 12 which is quite a big factor in CC vs a lot of armies.

The article is horrifically outdated and gives details as well as advice that is plain misleading.

Yep. I am considering doing so. Just pointed this out to the above posters.

Meant no offense, naturally.

Oh I know, its just that a lot of people don't realize that articles can be edited by anyone, so I thought I'd point it out.

The set of 'generic' unit descriptor pages was a project started by a particular user who was really into the concept, but it is something that gets outdated quickly. I think it would be much better off editing it just to be a very general description of what each unit is and does without all the stuff that changes from edition to edition (like wargear, etc).

So if anyone wants to spearhead going through and doing that, it is something that should be done…or at least labeling all those unit entry pages as being specific to whatever edition they were written for at the time.
