All,

I am currently in the process of re-writing the entire Witch Hunters Codex for 5th edition. I'm actually mostly done, but I'd like to get some feedback on the HQ units I have put together.

Specific Rules:
Sister Hospitaller: adds the Feel No Pain rule like a Space Marine Apothecary does to the squad.
Sister Dialogus: adds a faith point
Imagifer: carries a Simulacrum Imperialis
Banner Bearer: carries the Sacred Standard
Sister Famalous: removes the restrictions normally placed on using allies from the Imperial Guard codex; you do not need to have two troops choices in order to unlock the Fast Attack and Heavy Support sections of the force organization chart.

Celestian Command Squad
WS4 BS4 S3 T3 W1 I4 A2 Ld9 Sv3+
Squad Composition: 5 Celestians (5 more for 16 points each)
Equipment: Bolter, Bolt Pistol, Frag & Krak Grenades, Power Armor
Special Rules: Adepta Sororitas, Faithful (all, 1 faith point), Holy Hatred

Here’s the breakdown of the squad upgrades:
Imagifer: 16 points for a Celestian, 20 points for the Simulacrum Imperialis.........36 points.....proposed reduction to.....31 points
Hospitaller: 16 points for a Celestian, 15 points for the Medicus Minastorum..........31 points.....proposed reduction to.....26 points
Dialogus: 16 points for a Celestian, 15 points for a Faith Point.............................31 points.....no change
Famulous: 16 points for a Celestian, 20 points to unlock the force org chart..........36 points.....proposed reduction to.....31 points
Banner: a Celestian may carry a Sacred Standard for 15 points...........................31 points.....no change

All of these can take equipment just like a Veteran Sister can, as befits their status, i.e. access to power weapons, evicerators, etc.

Canoness Preceptor (90 points)

WS5 BS5 S3 T3 W3 I5 A3 Ld10 Sv3+(I4+)

Equipment: Bolter, Bolt Pistol, Frag & Krak Grenades, Power Armor, Rosarius
Special Rules: Adepta Sororitas, Faithful (3 faith points), Keeper of the Faith

Keeper of the Faith: Some of the greatest heroines of the Adepta Sororitas have such a strong faith in the Emperor that they inspire others to greatness. A unit with the Keeper of the Faith rule benefits from the Faithful special rule, and automatically passes any Test of Faith roll. Units the heroine is joined to do not benefit from this rule; they must pass a Test of Faith normally (this means that if they also use a Act of Faith in a turn, they still have to test). Faith points are deducted normally.

What do you guys think about the points cost? Too much, too little?

If anyone is interested in playtesting, feedback, questions, comments, criticisms, etc, please feel free to contact me.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

Here's a cool Celestian rule. They can use a Faith Power for free every turn. If they Martyr, two Faith points back. In addition, they still contribute one Faith Point. Dude, they are Celestians.

Meaning the Sister Dialogus adds another faith point, for a total of 2 for the squad.

I like it pretty well, though I think the upgrades for the special sisters might be a little pricey given that you are already paying 16 points for the girl with a bolter. If they still get to keep their bolters, I would price as the following:

Imagifer: 16 points for a Celestian, 15 points for the Simulacrum Imperialis...............31 points
Hospitaller: 16 points for a Celestian, 10 points for the Medicus Minastorum...............26 points
Dialogus: 16 points for a Celestian, 15 points for a Faith Point...................................31 points
Famulous: 16 points for a Celestian, 15 points to unlock the force org chart...............36 points
Banner: a Celestian may carry a Sacred Standard for 15 points................................31 points

Also, I would give the sgt a power weapon. Perhaps giving the squad an extra close combat weapon or the option to take it would be good too, but with Str 3 would not necessarily be over powering.

Are they going to have the option of combi-weapons, or power weapons for each model, anything like that?

I think the Simulacrum Imperialis is a little overcosted for Sisters in general. 20 points for it puts 10 Celestians very nearly in the Seraphim price bracket, and costs them the same as Assault Marines with jump packs. 15 seems more reasonable, though I could go down to 10 fairly comfortably.
The reason I changed the price on the force org unlock was taking lots of IG reduces the value of faithful units due to a shortage of faith points.
I might alter the standards to grant Stubborn within 6 or 12" too, for the price. Combat resolution is only fairly exciting in general, and on a shooty squad is less exciting.

As a primarily Sisters player, I am really excited to see what you come up with!

tonight I will edit the top post.

Ooops. Actually, I guess I should put the section in about the costs. I'll update that this evening.

As for options, they have the basic rules that a Veteran Sister Superior does, meaing access to power weapons, evicerators, etc.

I'll take a look at the costs invovled with some of them. I'm planning on tuning some of the current costs. Most of these are based on either the Space Marine Codex, or the Chapter Approved sisters.

What do you think about the Sister Famulous's ability to unlock slots?

So what have you done to the non-Sister choices in your re-written Codex.

Lots and lots of tweaking. I'm not done with it, and I want to be finished before I post it up.

Here's a preview, though:

-Reworked the cost of the Penitent Engines and added some options

-Reworked the wargear options for the Inquisitor and Inquisitor lord

-Reworked the arco-flagellents almost entirely so that I'd actually want to take them in a game

-Tweaked the wargear for the Death Cult Assassins to make them worth 40 points

And I love your signature tagline, btw. It's exactly how I feel about GW.
