Just curious. I have always played that Dante rerolls all missed hits in close combat but it was questioned this weekend during a friendly game.

Is he a friendly unit? Is he within 12" of himself? I'd say that's a yes.

This oddly came up on Warseer too -Knows all ya'll alts nao!- But yes, its pretty silly to say no. I mean, as Kaloran said, is Dante a friendly unit? Yes. Is he Within 12" of Dante? Yes.

I can see some academic arguement about how Dante can't be within 12 inches of himself because he is himself, or that you measure from the edge of his base, which creates a 'hole' in the middle that he occupies.
But, yes, he should benefit from his own Inspiring. I mean, if he can't inspire himself, he surely won't inspire any friendly Blood Angels.

If you measure from the edge of the base, surely the effect extends both ways from the base? The rule does not say "12" from the outer edge of the base" so we must assume it includes both sides </snarkyblahblahblah>

What I said was that I can see some gamers trying to create an argument with some funky statements, not that those statements would be correct. There is a difference between perceiving a potential rules issue and agreeing with it.

I know, I know. My comment was meant to be tongue in cheek. Sorry for not making it more clear

Gwar either needs more tongue, or less cheek.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Because anything with GBF in it just has to get really, really off topic.
