Luna,

Don't call them neo nazi. You didn't like the term "anime fan", I'm german-american, and I don't like you tossing that around when it doesn't fit. Grimdark, ok. Neo Nazi has nothing to do with it.

Some of these models are very nice. The Demon's and Apocalyptic girl especially.

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"

Is that followed by a pile-in move?

That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"

Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round?

There are various historical alternatives to the German coalscuttle style which is very similar to the modern US 'Fritz' helmet.

WW2 Japanese and Italian, and Warsaw Pact Polish all offer a different and unfamiliar look.

Only thing is that those German coalscuttle helmets are probably some the coolest designs out there, which is why they're so popular.

Did I miss a release date for the Griffin and the Post-Apocalyptic Girl?

The Griffon is already out and you can get it here. As for the post-apocalyptic girl, I think Rikard is planning on sculpting three other Post-Apocalyptic figures before sending them in for casting, so be patient for those.

So, apparently I DID miss the Griffon's release date - thanks for that!

And, I can't wait to see what else Rikard comes up with, if he's sculpting 3 more Post-Apocalyptic figs!

Sorry about that, we don't really have clearly set releasedates for our products (yet), its mainly because Ed has to cast everything in his free time since he is still doing this Troll Forged Miniatures in his free time next to his daytime job.

I'll try to be more exact next time stuff gets released or when I post teasers/WIPs. Sorry for the inconvenience!

As for Rikard's stuff, I've got this hunch that they are going to be very...very cool. You can read more on that over here.

I rather like the Italian and Warsaw Pact designs.

The Italian looks like someone took a more or less round, sort of metal beany cap and pulled it down over their ears.

The Warsaw Pact has very clean lines, kind of an art deco version of the German stahlhelm.

No worries, Icesword is going to work on different heads as well. Meaning that you will have some options open. In the longer run we hope to have some "put together your own infantry" part in the store in which you can pick the parts to make your units. But yeah, that's a little bit in the longer run since Ed needs to get set up more, we need more different infantry kits and so on.

It's just a German military helmet, not specifically a Nazi helmet.

No offense done, at least not to me. I don't really care if you call them nazi helmets or not. I remember I always called them Nazi helmets until I hung out with these WWII geeks who went all mental on me for calling those things as such.

http://www.german-helmets.com/ More about period German helmets than you ever needed to know!

Though just as an FYI the most common German helmets that you see on miniatures are the M1935 or M1940 models, though you can rarely distinguish the two on all but the most detailed of miniatures. The M1942 looks pretty much the same as well, but on some larger scale miniatures you can certainly tell the difference. In other news I have a history degree that did nothing for me, but damn do I know about plenty of pointless things, woo!

As for the offense, as someone with German ancestors as well I can understand it and I think it comes mostly from the misuse/misunderstanding of the Neo-Nazi term.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-Nazism

Hope that helps too =)

You should be worried the moment I start blabbering about those kids being naked and in chains, then I'm in dire need of help.

You don't need Santa for that, as it happens every day. So kids can either go to hangman school, work in the factories from the tender age of "I can't read these warning labels" or become future cogboys.

The Demogorath is almost done...

Ed (Hive Trygon), the sculptor had the following to say about it:

For easy long lasting molds my plan is 2 legs around the knee or ankle, 2 arms, tail, lower jaw of open mouth and main body. Resin decorative base with some very cool effects will be optional. I will also have him supplied with a large 40 or 50mm square plastic base or again choice of round base.

Price will be around $15-20 depending upon how much he uses. Probably a little smaller than a GW Bloodthirster. I think he is about 60mm tall which is about right for a 18 foot tall demon.

Great stuff all around. This is the first I've seen of Troll Forged, so thanks for keeping it up top where I'll catch it by Page 9.

Will definitely be picking up the post-apoc chick and friends when available.

I'm not a fan of those guns... Compared to the rest of the figures, they're fairly blah...

Okay, seriously, very nice! They have a good sense of desperation/fanaticism that would fit well for humans who are not part of the Emperor's light!

Very, very nice.
