Well, I think I'm going to make this a permanent thing where I ensure that I post whenever I see a code go up.

I just have him as the only tab pulled up for Twitter on my cell phone, so I can get the codes right away.

Is it sad that the only stuff I have on twitter is gearbox and dakka? And those only for swag.

I have far, far too many things I follow on Twitter.

But it's also how I've gotten to play off/on with the ME3 development team.

So it works out pretty great.

Yeah, I'm noticing that I'm using Snipers a lot lately, but every gun I regularly use also has +50% melee damage INCLUDING my Sniper Rifle, so I am picking people off at a distance, and when things get close, I use Deception and melee, and sometimes switch to my Maliwan SMG with electricity damage on it.

I think I'll wait til I hit 50 before I really start messing with different builds.

Has anyone else picked up the gun called bane yet? -_-

Yes. I've made a note never to bother with that side quest. At all.

I dropped into someone on my Friends list's game and threw the Bane on the ground, for them to pick up and use later.

They sent me a message later saying they hated me.

Beside the noises, is bane actually any good? If so, suck it up princess!

The Bane is pretty awesome damagewise.

The problem is it spams you with audio of a psycho midget on cocaine (voiced by Tiny Tina's voice actress)...and it makes you move at a crawl.

Hear, hear. I play with the sound pretty much muted anyway (I'm fine with subtitles, and I've yet to find a modern game that has a soundtrack worth listening to ), so as long as you only use it for a quick shot of whatever elemental effect it has, you're golden. I used my Bane (it was corrosive) from the moment I found it until the end of Playthrough 1.

The fact that it reduces movement kills it for me. My playstyle involves moving and strafing constantly, unless I have a sniper rifle or a rocket launcher. Can't do that with the bane.

Just got the Law. That pistol is disgusting. Can't wait until I can get the Order to go with it.

As a side note, Hansom Jack is a douche nozzle.

Ald, Eddie and I killed Terramorphus last night!

We had a friend of mine (43 Gunzerker at the time) and a friend of hers (50 Siren, 50 Commando, 50 Gunzerker, 50 Assassin...she kept changing classes for each kill ) farmed him.

Grats!

We killed him some four or five times.

The Commando class mod did not drop, any of those times.

I got the "Hide of Terramorphus", the "Pitchfork" sniper rifle (which is hilarious), and some other various bits and bobbles. Got the "Slayer of Terramorphus" class mod for my Assassin when he gets 50 though.

Anyone tried soloing him yet? I'm going to try that.

He is actually unable to be soloed by design. The only people who have done so utilized a glitch(which is intentionally made available).

I heard you can solo him with the Bee shield but they are going to nerf it.

This seems contradictory. If they made him unable to be soloed by design, but included a glitch to solo him, then why didn't they just make a solo mode and a group mode and have the group mode drop better loot? Then again, Crawmerax was only soloable because of a glitch in the first game, so I suppose it's not that surprising.

This again highlights the problem I have with the design of this game. They intentionally increase the difficulty of encounters, making some of them nearly impossible to solo forcing people to play in groups for the best experience. Some of us want to do a solo play through and not be punished for it. Could they not have just coded the encounter to be an appropriate challenge for whatever number of people are in the party? I died somewhere around 15-20 times while defending the beacon at Overlook, and spent a fortune buying rockets to take out the giant loader thing and the badass gun loader, which were a pain in the ass because of all the repair drones. If the encounter had reset after each death and forced me to do it over it would have been far more satisfying because I would have felt like I accomplished something and improved my skills. Changed tactics to overcome an obstacle. But instead I just respawned over and over until the mobs were dead. That's not defeating an encounter. That's zerging it until you win.

For the record, I haven't even completed my first play through yet. I'm level 18 or 19 and the quest described above is the last story quest I completed. I likely won't finish this game for another few weeks considering I'm also doing a duo play through with Mackie on my console since he hasn't gotten the game yet. I expect most everyone will have me severely out geared by the time I hit 50.
