I am not sure what you mean by that... they come unpainted in that colour, which is a sort of grey - but you still have to build them and paint them. I will take a photo of the unassembled kit tomorrow

These buildings are very exciting... what is their general footprint? Have you decided on "windows open" or not?

Personally I hope for them to be not too big, and with open windows, but I understand that other people have other ideas

A nice range of modern buildings with a good variety of 3-4 floor apartments and a couple of single floor shops like diners or convenience stores and a big centerpiece building with a tall profile (think Wayne Tower, Stark Tower, Avengers.. etc etc..)

My main concern is fire escapes, balconies, or other side-mounted attachments might separate. Either way, I'm sad to say I had lost track of you guys. You've got quite a bit of nice offerings.

These ones have a footprint of 220mm x 150mm excluding the stairs

The windows can be left in or removed... they are cut through all the way except for two little tabs, so you can either leave them in and paint them gloss black, or remove them

Some good ideas there... thanks. All noted.

You are absolutely correct about the fire escapes. They will be sold separately and if you glue them on, then of course the building will have to be stored in such a way to protect them. They should not come loose from general play but yes, if someone throws them in a box after the game then there is that risk (which is the same risk if they were plastic or MDF)

I mean precoloured like 4grounds and Antenocitis Workshops terrain where the customer doesn't have to paint them, I don't have time to paint scenery that's why a lot of mine is from those two companies. It's a moot point though as you answered my question as they don't come precoloured.

We have released a range of futuristic buildings aimed at Infinity but possibly good for Tau or Eldar.

The buildings on their own are just basic shapes but they can be combined with themselves and our range of DIY doors and windows to make some attractive and very cheap buildings.

Click on each image to see a bigger version if you want

*** The Round House ***

It is called the "Round House" because 6 of them will form a circular structure

This costs around $5 for one - and can be stacked and combined in numerous ways.

It can be combined with ours (or anyone else's) doors and windows to give buildings like this.

As a bundle deal, you can get 3 round houses, 8 doors and 16 windows for only $16.50!

*** The Comma House ***

The largest of the three and slightly more complicated to build. This is truly a unique building that will draw attention on any table it is on

This costs around $9 for one - and can also be combined in numerous ways.

It can be combined with ours (or anyone else's) doors and windows to give buildings like this.

As a bundle deal, you can get 2 comma houses, 8 doors and 16 windows for only $21.17!

*** The Arc House ***
A multi-level building with gracefully swept wings, this was also referred to as the "bird house" earlier in development. It too can be combined with itself to create numerous different configurations.

This costs around $12 for one - and can also be combined in numerous ways.

Very creative use of shapes and very playable. A very unique offering. I think I need at least a pack of the comma house.

Those comma houses are really something. Great job.
You might consider some sort of big building bundle with one of each type or something for somebody looking to fill a table with some really stellar building designs.

I really like these. What are their dimensions? I can figure out the basic size from the figure base, but it is nice to know for sure.

Thanks for all the positive feedback - I will post the dimensions as soon as I can measure them.

We are looking at some larger bundles for release on Tuesday

Neal, I got some of those artillery pieces for my Ig, and they are sooooo cool. I decided to go with some cheap artilley pieces my local model kit store sales instead, but are turning them into ruined gun emplacements, I cant wait to buy more from you, they are pretty cool.

What's on the workbench in the first week of Q3?

Click on the images for bigger versions if you want

M113 Redux

We wondered what our M113 model would look like if we expanded the side armour down a bit and so the first step was a quick sketch

This is the "first fit" cut - a basic proof of concept cut to see what it would look like.

Next came a detail cut to see how it all fitted together. Not looking too bad but some of the details need to be reworked

The main thing that will have to change are the road wheels. If we want the side hatch to be realistically able to go through to the main hull, then the existing road wheels (light green) are too big. Fortunately the Churchill (a WW2 British tank) provided the inspiration for a smaller set of road wheels, as the Churchill had a side hatch and ran its tracks around the outside of the sides, similar to WW1 tanks. The track course is shown in red. So the next cut will be to modify the design to incorporate these changes.

Mk IV Tank

If you haven't seen the trailer yet for Battlefield 1 then you really are missing out.

We are super-excited about the game and have decided to do the vehicles that have featured in the trailer (for use as "counts as" models in other gaming systems)

Steve started out doing a basic cad render and I think he nailed it pretty well

This is the "first fit" test done straight off the render... worked out so so but was a bit small and also difficult to put together.

This is the second cut... a detail cut that was also scaled up substantially. This one went together very easily but is perhaps a little big. The next cut will scale this down and add more detail

All cardboard Heavy Artillery / Big Bertha

Our existing heavy artillery kit is a mix of card and MDF and the MDF adds quite a bit to the cost. This was a test to take all the MDF bits and turn them into two layers of card - so instead of 3mm MDF, you would have 2mm of card. Worked ok but a few small bugs to iron out.

In keeping with the BF1 theme, we also want to make our heavy artillery into a towed version... and Big Bertha (a WW1 German siege gun) is proving the inspiration

Here is the first fit cut for the Bertha components. The main gun and barrel is the same as the existing kit and will be interchangeable- it is the chassis that is new.

A7V tank

718
We've seen this tank (the only production tank the Germans put into WW1) in the BF1 gameplay videos and so are going to have a crack at it.

FT17 tank

This might or might not be in the game but we want to do it anyway as it is an iconic WW1 tank and also, I want them for my Imperial Guard army as a small scout tank that I can use instead of sentinals.

Thanks but the next cut will have a door of the same size but one with hinges on the front side, so that when it is open it provides a shield to dismounting models. Because, y'know, logic

There was a lot happening on the workbench in the second week of Q3 (10 - 16 July 2016)

M113 R(edux)

The new road wheels and doors are sorted.

The doors (which we borrowed from the Ratel model) open forwards to offer some more protection to dismounting troops. There is also a step plate and a handle to help troops remount.

All doors and hatches can be modeled open. There are some tiny bugs with this file and we want to change the detailing on the sides... the "icon" on the side will be dropped in favour of some more armour detailing. This should be released next week.

Estimated cost will be $12.50, worldwide postage will be $3

MK IV tank
Lots of detailing has been added. We are loving this model! The model is 1% smaller than 1/48 scale. Still some teething issues with the armour plates on the sponsons. The next cut should fix all of these (including bumping the size up to be exactly 1/48 scale)

The kit price is looking at being around $16 but we will try get that down with the production cuts.

Big Bertha

Lots more detail added, and a short range mortar version of the barrel as a test.

We are going to scrap the working cogs and gears and rather ramp up the detailing. The gun will still go up and down in the mount but the side handles will no longer turn. They are fiddly to build and we would rather it looked awesome and not work, than look simple and work.

bertha04

FT17 and A7V
The "first fit" cuts for these had mixed results. The A7V was a dream... we are moving straight on to detailing.

The FT17 needs a lot of work - this way is hard to build.

They all look great. I especially like how the M113 R(edux) is coming along.

Do you have any twin linked turret option that could sit on top of that, so it could serve as a Razorback alternative.

Thanks mate.

No plans as yet but it is compatible with our other turrets. Once we have finished the WW1 stuff I will look at doing an open-topped turret.

Today we release a new model: the M113 Redux tracked APC
This is a futuristic evolution of our generic APC based on the US M113.

It features a new suspension and wheel system and side doors that open forwards to protect troops when leaving / entering

It is made from layers of 1mm heavy card, laser cut.

The hatches and doors can be modelled open or shut .

It is compatible with our range of turrets

$12.95 for 1 model or buy a platoon of 3 for only $29.95

It is in the store here http://www.lasercutcard.co.za/shop/vehicles/m113_r_tracked_apc

Looking good mate. Is there any word on the brownstone type buildings you were showing off a while back?

The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.

Thanks!

The brownstones are pretty much ready to go... we just got distracted with other stuff. Thanks for the reminder.... I will haul them out and see what needs doing to get them into the shop

I repainted this model as I really wasn't happy with the first paint job. I'm far happy with this effort.

I also got sent a WIP shot from someone who is converting theirs by raiding the bitz box... pretty cool!

Where to begin?

This is our single biggest product release to date and there is a LOT to cover, so please bear with us.

Firstly, the Na-To Tractor

This is a modification of the Na-To chassis with wheel armour. A key point here (we will come back to it below) is that
- the sides can fold flat
- it has a tow hook on the back

Next - two new vehicle accessories.

The Servo Arm takes the drudgery out of the heavy lifting, and can be attached to any vehicle

The Bulldozer Blade can be attached to the front or back of most vehicles (when at the back it can represent a recoil spade)

And now on to the main event... three new artillery pieces.

All the artillery pieces come with various barrels that can be swapped out between games.

The first artillery piece is the vehicle mounted artillery

This is just the gun plus a plate that can be glued onto the back of any flatbed (but which is specifically designed for the Na-To chassis or tractor)

Here we see the first barrel option - the battle cannon

This is the siege mortar barrel

By combining the two we get a super mega big cannon

The next artillery piece is the fixed emplacement. This comes on a sturdy tripod mount.

Again, all three barrel options are included in this kit

And finally - probably the best model we have produced to date - Big Bertha (the wheeled artillery kit)

This is our favourite kit so far. It went through quite a bit of revision and input from a lot of people to get to this stage but the results speak for themselves.

It comes with the servo arm accessory included and can be upgraded to include a Na-To tractor at a big discount

The servo arm is fully posable during building and it was very easy to modify the kit to show this dynamic loading scene.

I hope the pictures can do this model justice - please click on them for bigger versions.

Beatiful new additions to your line.

Seeing that servo arm, and that you already make turrets, have you ever considered some sort of 4-6 legged walker akin to a Chaos Space Marine Defiler, or Adeptus Mechanicus Onager Dunecrawler ?

So, I have your original Artillery kit, and while cool, I felt it lacked detail and so forth, so I scrapped my project with them,
These new ones look amazing, and I think with a bit more conversion, would end up looking great with my IG
Also, for the Artillery Platoon, if I wanted 3 Wheeled ones, I would choose the +20$ version correct?
