Personally, Deadpool 2 should go off the really REALLY deep end, and involve his other, other... other? girlfriend, Death herself

...Man, that movie could go... places, and probably few of them pretty

They cant. the Death subplot is very reliant on Loki and Thanos, two characters that they cannot use.

I saw it last night and I really really liked it. I have one minor complaint with it though.

Spoiler:
Not once did he mention Bea Arthur!

It really needs more than a shirt. The whole joke behind it is how attractive he finds her.

I watched it at the Alamo Drafthouse. They had a whole segment on Bea Arthur prior to the movie.

Being in Deadpool costume, I started telling other viewers how hot she was, and that she was my girlfriend.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Watched Deadpool today. Fantastic movie. Had me laughing from start to finish. As others have said, the Colossus fight on the highway is brilliant. That and the smack talk between Deadpool and Ajax.

Disney/Marvel owns the rights to the Helicarrier, but they don't own the rights to generic flying aircraft carriers.

If I remember the interviews right, the initial storyboards included the Helicarrier, and then they started working on changing it enough so that it looks like an aircraft carrier that may be able to fly and that people would recognize, but different enough so that it isn't THE Helicarrier.

Similar to how Disney/Marvel have mutants, but they are not calling them that.

Absolutely amazing. Me and my friend typically make snarky comments on dumb parts throughout movies we watch, especially superhero ones but Deadpool was so on point and self-aware we had nothing to say but laugh and gawk at scenes throughout the movie. All around amazing, definitely sets a new bar for the "super-hero" genre, if only because its so refreshing from how forthright it is about itself and how true it is to the Deadpool character.

Saw it for the second time this weekend, this time with the wife. I still love it and she about died laughing at multiple parts and she isn't really into comics and knows almost nothing about the character so that says a lot that the translation of the character came thru so well.

One interesting comment from someone at work today who went into the film, fully expecting to hate it and came out "vaguely amused" was, from talking to him...

He didn't realise that Deadpool was supposed to be 'insane'.

He felt that actually didn't come across in the film at all (though he apparently missed the part when Colossus commented on it.)

Instead he thought DP was just talking to the camera because that was the premise of the film.

He also thought that Colossus was literally some of the worst CGI he's ever seen in a cinema film, with the worst comical Russian accent he's ever heard. - He then went on to say that the original X-Men movies version of him was much better.

I'm kinda not really commenting on those statements but more just to show that the film apparently wasn't universally loved.

Movie was awesome, but the mother and father of the 6-year old girl a couple rows over was a great example of crappy parenting.

Finally saw it. Think it would have been better if his voices were in it as well, but at least colossus referred to him as multiple people to try to imply it. But then they have to balance his insanity otherwise the movie could go too far and become too goofy somehow.

I think that was put across with tonal changes. No way that could have been realised in a literal way without being completely confusing.
As much as they emphasized the 'not a normal superhero' stuff he was still a pretty straightforward good guy.
It's not as though we don't expect action heroes to leave a substantial pile of corpses behind them in movies.

Yeah I don't get why anyone would take their young child to see an R-rated film (or in the UK's case, 15 rated which is hilarious)

That seems to be the case with the Avengers, but I'm sure they used the term mutant at least once in Deadpool.

That's because Deadpool is made by Fox, who owns the rights to the X-Men, so they don't have to dance around the whole Mutant thing. As evidenced by having the actual X-Men in the movie, as much as they were able to budget at least
